'Bargain Block' Realtor Shea Hicks-Whitfield Gives Birth to a Baby Boy

Bargain Block realtor Shea Hicks-Whitfield and her husband, Terry, welcomed a baby boy named Beau James Whitfield on July 29. Beau weighs 7 pounds, 15 ounces and is 20.5 inches long.
“No matter how many books you read or videos you may watch, you have to trust your journey, because your child is your special miracle,” the couple tells HGTV.
Shea’s been open with fans and followers about her pregnancy experience, so of course we’ve been keeping up with her journey ever since she broke the news on Instagram back in February. “My body became my most important client,” she says. “When it needed to rest, I learned to rest. Listening to what my body told me helped me work late into my pregnancy.” The proof of which we’ve seen first-hand on Season 2 of Bargain Block.
“In my work as a realtor in Detroit, it’s truly no days off to support my clients the best I can,” says Shea. “On the show, viewers have the opportunity to see me throughout my entire pregnancy journey.”

The couple even revealed their baby’s gender on the show. "Get in here and find out what kind of uncles y'all about to be," Shea said during the episode 6 reveal, gesturing to Keith and Evan — who, she confirms, had a pivotal role welcoming baby Beau into the world.
“Keith and Evan designed our nursery. It’s classy and clean, with a design look he'll grow into,” says Shea. “We have been blessed to have their creative spirit in the room. The wood feature wall is a work of art — classic Keith.”

And Baby Beau isn’t the only new journey Shea and Terry are excited about. In HGTV’s novel special Bargain Block: Bargain Buys, Shea and Terry meet up with individuals and families in Detroit who are ready to give up on their dreams of ever owning a home. Using their combined talents — Terry’s non-profit and volunteer experience and Shea’s real estate skills — the duo will work to make their clients homeowners.
But for now, Shea and Terry are just basking in the joy of baby Beau. “We're excited for the opportunity to raise a child at this junction in our lives,” they say.
