Working at Anthropologie during my sophomore year of college was dangerous for me. I love to shop, especially for the home. Anthropologie is known for having unique and beautiful home decor, so being surrounded with endless dreamy home items every shift made it hard to resist taking it all home with me. Spoiler alert: I did end up taking a lot of it home with me.

While working for the brand, I spent countless hours browsing the floor and combing the website for the best way to use my employee discount (to the 40 percent off apparel and 25 percent off home discounts, I miss you dearly). Having seen firsthand what was most loved — and what was most returned — I've compiled all my Anthro favorites, from the best blankets and candles to the little gifts anyone is sure to love. Keep scrolling to discover the best Anthropologie home buys you should add to your cart ASAP.

Candles

Anthropologie is known for their candles for good reason. If you've ever shopped in-store, you are more than familiar with the smell of Capri Blue's classic Volcano — the bestselling signature scent that wafts through every location. But beyond the Capri Blue line, Anthropologie has so many candles to die for. (Trust me, I've smelled more than my fair share). Here are the ones I think are just right to set the mood.

Throw Blankets

Every living space deserves a few places to curl up in. When it comes to creating a cozy and inviting space, the perfect throw blanket is my must-have. What I love about Anthropologie's throws is that they come in sizes large enough to prevent any cold feet from sticking out. My absolute favorite is their Hugger Throw. It has the perfect weight to warm you up without letting you overheat. Soft as a cloud, the Hugger Throw is truly the blanket that hugs you back. It's still up against some serious competition, though, because all of these options will surely add warmth and comfort to your home.

Tableware

One of the things I recommend most from Anthropologie is their tableware. As a fan of unique pieces that add a touch of personal style to the home, I love accents that bring both quality and design. When shopping for tableware at Anthropologie, I always encourage people to check the item details to ensure a product is dishwasher- and microwave-safe because some are not. Their glassware options are my favorite because they are playful while maintaining elegance.

Throw Pillows

If your space is in need of an upgrade, it probably needs another throw pillow. I look for ones that are soft and plush with the right amount of fill. The ones I've picked down below give a luxury look without sacrificing comfort. Mix and match or pair them with a matching throw. You can truly never have too many.

Little Gifts

One of the best parts of working at Anthropologie during the holidays was getting to shop for some of the best little gifts for my loved ones. Most of Anthropologie's home items make great gifts, but I loved finding the special items that looked like they were made with someone on my list in mind. My favorites are the ones I know they're sure to treasure without needing to break the bank.

Home Fragrance

While I am a huge fan of Anthropologie's candle selection, there are so many other great ways to incorporate fragrance into a room. Anthropologie's fragrance diffusers, oils and sprays are their biggest hidden gem. My favorite combo is using their classic Capri Blue Volcano-scented oil in a diffuser. I find that using a diffuser often makes fragrance last longer than a candle, especially when using a powerful waterless one like the SEASONS Areo, which I also highly recommend.

Lighting

I've always felt great lighting was the finishing touch that could make or break the ambiance of a room. While working at Anthropologie, I was always fascinated with their unique lighting options that added character and warmth to a space. Whether you're looking for a charming table lamp to brighten up a reading nook or an elegant floor lamp to make a statement in your living room, my wish list is full of lighting that will make the perfect finishing touch.

Planters

Greenery brings life to any space, and finding the right planter is just as important as choosing the perfect plant. I love to keep plants in my living space to brighten up the room (and they also improve air quality). For gardening enthusiasts, I recommend checking out Anthro's sister brand Terrain to get all the essentials to make your home an earthy oasis.
