Hot Dog Topping Recipe: Smoked Pimento Cheese
This twist on a classic spread gets its subtly smoky flavor from store-bought smoked cheddar–and its creamy texture from another secret ingredient: sour cream.

Ingredients
Makes enough for 8-10 hot dogs.
- 3/4 lb. extra-sharp cheddar, shredded
- 1/4 lb. store-bought smoked cheddar, shredded
- 2 tbs. diced canned roasted red pepper
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tbs. mayonnaise
- 3 tbs. sour cream
- 1 tbs. spicy whole grain mustard
- 1 tbs. hot sauce
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp. onion powder
Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and stir until well combined. Chill until ready to serve.
