Yield: 30 pinwheels

  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • zest of 1 orange
  • 2 refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1/2 stick butter, melted
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • honey

Instructions

1: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2: In a bowl, mix the cranberries, pecans, sugar and orange zest.

3: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pie crusts into two squares. Brush with melted butter, then sprinkle with the cranberry-nut mixture.

4: Carefully roll it into a log, sealing it, then cut it into even slices.

5: Place the slices on the parchment paper-lined baking sheet, and brush with the egg wash. Bake for 15 minutes.

6: When it's still warm, drizzle honey on top and allow to cool before serving.
