Vary your container sizes. A mini tray is perfect for stamps and matches, while larger ones can corral oddly shaped gadgets like flashlights or keys. If you're always losing your glasses, make a rimmed tray their new home base.

Avoid crumpled receipts by laying them flat and securing them together with a binder clip.

A nest of tangled cords will make any drawer look messy. Corral them with Velcro cable ties and cord wraps.
