We'll see Castle Impossible renovators Daphne and Ian Fig real soon! The couple will continue to honor Daphne's late grandfather’s legacy by restoring the 500-year-old chateau he left to her just outside of Paris, France. Season 2 premieres Tuesday, May 26 at 9|8c and will stream the next day on HBO Max and discovery+.

What Is Castle Impossible Season 2 About?

After a year of tireless work to make the sprawling 130-acre property livable, the Figs will now focus on renovations to expand their wedding and event businesses — which will finance the sky-high costs of maintaining their historic Chateau de Lesigny.

During eight new episodes, Daphne and Ian will work on pivotal rooms for their businesses including a honeymoon suite in the dove tower, a tea salon, a dungeon tavern and a library, in addition to restoring the chateau’s gatehouse as a residence for Daphne’s granny. Throughout the season, the chateau will welcome many special guests including, Daphne’s father, sister and grandmother — as well as Escape to the Chateau renovators Dick and Angel Strawbridge. Along the way, Daphne and Ian will be met with some of their biggest surprises yet including detrimental water leaks, strict budgets, crumbling infrastructure and mold and fungus infestations.

In the first episode, the duo will take on a lofty overhaul to help boost their income: transforming a dilapidated second floor bedroom into a grand library perfect for photoshoots. With structural pullies creating a floor-to-ceiling eyesore, the Figs will plan to mask the supports with wall-to-wall custom bookcases. To complete the whimsical transformation, Daphne and Ian will add antique paneling, cozy furniture, a secret bookcase door and a magical mezzanine overlooking the library.
