HGTV Urban Oasis 2012: Foyer Pictures

Dramatic nature prints draw the eye in an HGTV Urban Oasis space where organic and inorganic meld successfully.

A cooled-down color palette paired with weathered gray oak flooring sets the tone in the apartment's expansive entry space.

An architectural steel entry bench, wrapped in white leather, carves out a nice spot to stop and admire artwork and decorative accessories.

"The design is very tied to what's outside and the water," says interior designer Lindsay Pumpa, who created an installation of resin sawfish bills to reference the apartment's coastal location and establish a sea-life theme.

Foyer art was discovered during the first HGTV Urban Oasis shopping trip. "They are big, bold and dramatic," says design consultant Linda Woodrum. "They tie into this notion of everything being bigger and bolder in Miami."

A 6-foot-high three-panel palm fan, produced by mother-son duo Madeline and Robert Longstreet, speaks to the apartment's tropical location.

A powder room, tucked in the hallway, initiates a subtle water theme. Bubble shapes — in the form of light fixtures and wall art — are sprinkled throughout apartment interiors.

A starburst mirror lends visual appeal and sparkle while not detracting from wall art just steps outside the powder room.

Sculptural in nature, an oboe-shaped faucet paired with oval handles extends the modern design aesthetic. Pops of color come in the form of blown-glass votive holders and a split-leaf philodendron, displayed in a mercury-glass vase.

A mixed-media painting by Miami- and Atlanta-based artist Anthony Liggins graces the wall in the hallway. The artwork pulls in the apartment's color palette and represents Miami in a unique way. "This particular piece represents the ocean meeting the city night," says Lindsay.
