Extending from the living room, an 8-foot terrace with glass railing is generous enough to accommodate a small party of guests.

Pace Picnic Island, the southernmost of Biscayne Bay's picnic islands, is visible from the terrace.

Margaret Pace Park, a short stroll from Paramount Bay and visible from the HGTV Urban Oasis 2012 terrace, offers basketball, tennis and volleyball courts, as well as soccer/football fields.

Bali-inspired furnishings comprise a cozy seating area. The poly resin "vine"-wrapped, ebonized lounge chairs and side table were chosen for their style and durability.

An oversized chaise, upholstered in all-weather fabric, provides the ideal sunbather's perch. A silkscreened pillow pays subtle nod to sea life and serves up the needed dose of color.

"Here in Miami we are lucky enough to have pleasant weather year round, so your balcony can essentially become an extension of your living space," says Lindsay. "By adding a variety of comfortable seating, a splash of color and a tray full of refreshing drinks — voila — you're ready to leave the doors open and carry the party right outside."

A cocktail tray offers up hammered stemware, which offers the look of handblown glass with the durability of a dishwasher-safe acrylic.

Live palms and greenery, planted in aluminum urns, soften the design of the seating area and provide an organic focal point.

The Port of Miami, visible from the HGTV Urban Oasis 2012 terrace, accommodates 20 shipping lines (and millions of passengers) per year.

Each of Paramount Bay's 346 waterfront residences boasts panoramic water views.
