A focus on water shapes extends into the main bedroom, where a bubble ceiling sconce lends drama and draws the eye.

Lindsay knew a mixed-media art piece would be ideal for the main bedroom. "I loved the color palette of it," she says. "The silver foil is what finally grabbed me — that flash."

The main bedroom offers its own private access to the terrace. Roller blinds and sheer linen drapery, drawn during daylight hours, reduce heat gain and improve interior comfort.

"I wanted to make sure the design between the living room and main bedroom was cohesive while still making sure the bedroom made its own statement," says Lindsay. "All the furnishings are modern, but by toning down the color palette, and focusing on neutrals, I made sure the bedroom was a great place to escape and relax without losing out on high style."
