HGTV Urban Oasis 2013: Foyer Pictures

A sleek color-neutral space introduces the apartment's luxe design motif, defined by linear details, plus chrome and antiqued mirror.

To visually expand the appearance of the 1,000-square-foot apartment and lend drama and sparkle, foxed mirror clads the foyer wall. "A little touch of antiqued glass is found in almost every space in the house," says Lindsay Pumpa.

Geometric and linear motifs lend a modern sensibility and take the form of wall art and treatments.

"I wanted the powder room to make a statement this year," says Lindsay Pumpa. "The whole reason that it's black and very high contrast! I wanted to give it more — it's not just the bathroom at the end of the hall."

Super white granite creates a waterfall vanity in the apartment's showstopping powder room, where silver mosaic tile clads the backsplash and glass globe pendants with silver metallization stripes illuminate the space.

A cast-glass lavatory sink lends an additional layer of texture. Mirror mounting polished chrome fixtures save countertop space and also create the illusion of mid-air suspension.

A space-saving wall-hung toilet with concealed hardware stands sculpture-like.

"I love vessel sinks, and this particular one had enough elegant simplicity to stand on its own. But when paired with our super busy granite, it ended up complementing it perfectly," says Lindsay Pumpa.

Continuing a focus on reflective surfaces, a chrome tray presents hand towels, hand soap and lotion.

Inspired by an iconic circa-1969 Italian lamp design, this polished chrome chandelier features an anemone-like shape that casts unique starburst shadows on the ceiling and walls.

Modern, linear brushed-nickel wall sconces serve as a foil to vintage-style walls clad in foxed mirror.

The sleek foyer leads to the kitchen, where hardwood, Shaker-style cabinetry and a granite-topped island make the most of space.
