Week one started with a kitchen makeover. Veteran team Jonathan and Jordan Knight's (Farmhouse Fixer) "Modern Farmhouse" kitchen perfectly blends Jon's farmhouse aesthetic with Jordan's more modern taste. Gorgeous wood cabinetry and textured stonework leading all the way up to the ceiling make the room appear larger, while the light colors leave the space feeling warm and open. A secondary island was created with the use of a rustic farmhouse table, a decision that judge Bobby Berk (Queer Eye) found both creative and useful.

Rookie team Chelsea and Cole DeBoer's (Down Home Fab) "Cowboy Contemporary" kitchen was designed for a large family with a focus on seating, storage and entertaining. Dark cabinetry and black appliances create drama while also ensuring sticky fingerprints and other kitchen messes are stress-free occurrences. Durable quartz countertops and floor-to-ceiling cabinets ensure this kitchen is as pretty as it is practical.

Rookie team Tristyn and Kamohai Kalama's (Renovation Aloha) "Moody Modern" kitchen may have surprised the judge most with a totally new floorplan that moved the kitchen to the back of the house and added a pantry where the kitchen once stood. A herringbone wood treatment on the ceiling and two-toned cabinetry are the stars of the show, while a useful pass-through window makes the most of indoor/outdoor space.

Veteran team Alison Victoria (Windy City Rehab) and Michel Smith Boyd's (Luxe for Less) "Refined Rustic" kitchen blew the judge away with a dazzling color palette and luxurious finishes. While Alison is often drawn to a vintage-meets-modern aesthetic, Michel is known for his penchant for glamor. Together, they created a chic and timeless cooking space that hits all the right marks and ultimately made them the week one winners, earning them an additional $3,000 to spend on their week two design.

Week two had teams focusing on the den. For Alison and Michel's design, adding wall-to-wall wood paneling and replacing the small window with gorgeous glass French doors instantly grabbed judges Mina Starsiak (Good Bones and season 1 Rock the Block competitor) and Jasmine Roth's (Help! I Wrecked My House and season 1 Rock the Block champion) attention. But what really set their design apart was the large, hidden swivel door that serves as a design optical illusion, keeping the den a secret surprise from the entryway.

In an effort to make the den as multi-functional as possible, Tristyn and Kamohai opted to extend the space by moving the powder room to where their pantry used to be and reallocating the space to make the den feel larger. Behind the desk, they added a Murphy bed so the room can now double as a guest bedroom when needed.

Jon and Jordan wanted their den to be a versatile space where kids and adults could work simultaneously. They opted for double desks with plenty of storage, custom built-ins and a comfortable loveseat that adds a touch of softness and style.

In a stroke of design genius, Chelsea and Cole opted to turn the adjacent powder room into a three-quarter bath with the addition of a shower. They then added a door to attach it to their den area, creating an en suite guest bedroom that ultimately won them first place for the week and the first rookie win of the season.

On week three, Alison and Michel continued their "Refined Rustic" theme with a main suite reminiscent of a boutique hotel. Judges Eilyn and Ray Jimenez (Divided by Design) adored the space, noting that the white oak paneling adds a beautiful layer that feels custom and luxe. Mountain wallpaper and a platform beneath the bed add high-end appeal in this sophisticated bedroom.

Tristyn and Kamohai decided to flip the main suite floorplan on its head, completely moving the bedroom to create access to the balcony with large glass doors and a double-sided fireplace that can be enjoyed both inside and out. A custom tufted headboard against a striking paneled feature wall sets the perfect backdrop for the crisp white bed, creating a chic midmod moment.

A picture window that perfectly frames the mountains outside, along with a sophisticated limewash wall and ceiling treatment set the perfect scene for Chelsea and Cole's main bedroom, creating a design that feels understated yet elegant. Since they decided to leave the main suite layout as is, they were able to invest in luxury finishes to make an impact and add value.

The judges described Jon and Jordan's main bedroom as warm and inviting, and it's no secret why. By moving the bedroom to face the balcony and enclosing it with clear glass panels, the talented brothers were able to make the most of the incredible mountain view. Neutral earth tones and soft textural moments create an instant coziness that secured them their first win of the season.

For week four, contestants were surprised with a bonus room challenge and only 48 hours to complete their design. After a game of "Rock the Drop," which determined which pre-selected theme and decor the teams would have to work with, it was determined that Alison and Michel would be designing a "Homework" space. Beautiful brown built-ins that wrap around the walls offer plenty of storage and value, while a large table serves as a homework station but leaves flexibility in how the room is utilized.

With Jordan out of town for the week, Jon was left at a disadvantage in this fast-paced design challenge. Lucky for him, he was joined by his longtime friend and former Rock the Block teammate, Kristina Crestin (Farmhouse Fixer). The duo wasted no time in creating a luxurious "Wellness" space that left judges (the other contestants) feeling instantly relaxed. A tea station, salt block wall with LED lighting and an innovative built-in bench with chaise lounges blend beautifully to create a stunning spa-like space.

While Chelsea and Cole initially felt the "Gamer/Tech" theme was not a fit for their home's style, they ultimately decided that since they were always planning to design for a large family, a gaming space meant for teens could work after all. After adding built-ins, strip lights and storage, the space feels both cohesive and intentional in their home.

Earning them their first win on the block, Tristyn and Kamohai's "Playroom" design brought the Utah mountains in with a custom mountain facade that adds storage and whimsical style in one. Monkey bars, a climbing wall, a chalkboard wall treatment and a color palette the judges adored set their space apart, making it an instant hit with every team and giving them an additional $4,500 to work with in their next design.

Week five had each team transforming their home's entire lower level with guidelines to add a second kitchen, reimagine the living space and completely finishing an unfinished area. To continue with their family-focused theme, Chelsea and Cole opted to divide the space into what they called an "adult arcade" and a "kid arcade." Here, the "adult arcade" features a jaw-dropping accent wall, luxurious quartz backsplash and countertop, poker table and custom shuffleboard island. Judge Kim Myles (Design Star season 2 winner) adored the quartz and felt the space was elegant and elevated.

Inspired by their time spent on tour, Jon and Jordan created a sophisticated "green room" space along with a music studio and vocal booth (not pictured). While Kim noted the rich color palette, luxurious finishes and millwork, it was the custom bar and handmade Ping-Pong table that gave the room the chill, relaxed vibe they were aiming for.

Alison and Michel decided to make their lower level living space a comfier extension of their upstairs living room by continuing their arch motif and incorporating oversized couches, warm woods and a light, bright palette that perfectly blends fresh and cozy.

After adding a full kitchen, living room with a fireplace, theater room and wine bar, it's no surprise that Kim felt the value added to Tristyn and Kamohai's lower level was undeniable. Upon entering the space, Kim called it harmonious, comfortable and like being embraced, and she ultimately dubbed them the winners of week five, making them the first team to secure two wins.

For week six, each team was tasked with transforming their spacious backyard into an outdoor paradise. Chelsea and Cole wasted no time leaning into their family-friendly design plan, adding an in-ground trampoline and gigantic playground. But while judges Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis (Unsellable Houses and season 5 Rock the Block champions) loved the seating area and overall vibe, they thought the fence around the backyard added the most value and set this design apart.

Alison and Michel's "Refined Rustic" aesthetic was not lost on Lyndsay and Leslie, who noted that this design felt the most cohesive with the back deck wrapped entirely in cedar and even more cedar moments sprinkled throughout the rest of the yard. While simple, the result feels elegant and balanced and serves as a premier spot for relaxation.

One of the greatest value adds in Tristyn and Kamohai's design is a gas-plumb fireplace that sits on a bed of lava rocks. For the remainder of the backyard, this duo focused on wellness, incorporating a pickleball court, outdoor shower, hot tub and cold plunge.

Once the judges stepped into this spacious greenhouse that's equipped for both water and electricity, the other teams simply didn't have a chance. With a versatile greenhouse, a charming barn that can serve as home to small farm animals or a kennel for dogs, beautiful stone pathways and raised cedar garden beds, this winning space brought Jon and Jordan their second win, tying the rookie and veteran teams as they head into the final week.

In the final week of makeovers, each team was tasked with completing the upstairs bedroom, balcony and facade. Licensed contractor, Jonathan Scott (Don't Hate Your House With the Property Brothers), walked through the final spaces and was completely blown away, but a trio of local, independent appraisers decided each home's final value.

To complete their family-focused design, Chelsea and Cole turned their upstairs bedroom into a charming bunk room with custom built-in bunks. Plaid wallpaper and beautiful arches that mimic the archways downstairs give the space a high-end look.

The addition of oversized sliding doors shines a light on Tristyn and Kamohai's "Moody Modern" upstairs bedroom. Behind the bed, ʻōhiʻa lehua wallpaper offers a touch of Hawaii as well as a funky dash of color to this upscale space.

Jon and Jordan wanted to create a relaxing haven for guests with their upstairs bedroom design. A statement headboard with built-in nightstands and charging stations, plus curtains you can control with the push of a button, give this room an effortless, relaxing vibe.
