Meet the Teams Competing in 'Rock the Block' Season 7

Say hello to the most star-studded season of Rock the Block yet. This year, HGTV is pairing seasoned design stars with celebrities who share a passion. Say hello to Scott McGillivray and Brooke Hogan; Taniya Nayak and Drew Lachey; Mina Starsiak Hawk and Vernon Davis; and Kim Wolfe and Chelsea Meissner. These four teams of two will have seven weeks and a budget of $275,000 to transform identical cul-de-sac builds in the hopes of hearing host Ty Pennington crown them the winner.

This year, the homes up for renovation are located in Las Vegas — and in classic Sin City style, they're all one-level and feature private courtyards, multi-generational suites and RV garages. The team who earns the highest appraised property value post reno will hit the jackpot, winning Rock the Block bragging rights and a street named in their honor.

Designer Taniya Nayak is ready to bring it all to the Rock the Block Season 7 ring following her Season 4 Battle on the Beach win. She's partnering up with dancer, actor and 98 Degrees boy band legend Drew Lachey to transform their Las Vegas home into a boy band-worthy oasis.

Principal interior architect of her own firm, Taniya Nayak Design, and staple Battle on the Beach team leader, Taniya is a pro when it comes to taking on big design projects in a short period of time. Newer to the home renovation game, Drew brings a level of stardom that's necessary for designing the perfect Sin City house. His eagerness to learn, combined with Taniya's competitive spirit and vast design knowledge, makes them a tough team to beat.

Why the Heck Did I Buy This House? host Kim Wolfe is partnering up with her fellow Survivor alum and bestie Chelsea Meissner to take on the Block. Between Kim's self-taught design skills and Chelsea's love for competitions, they're sure to make a name for themselves during Season 7.

Being on Survivor (and winning, in Kim's case) gives you special credibility when it comes to televised competitions, but Kim and Chelsea are also passionate about design — making them an even stronger duo. Kim renovated a whopping seven homes at the same time during her first season of Why the Heck Did I Buy This House? Now, she has unmatched project management skills. Chelsea's love for design is obvious if you look around her beautiful home in Texas. She also helped Kim design a nursery for a client, so the besties know they work well together both on and off the Survivor island.

HGTV veteran, Vacation House Rules star and most recently the co-host of his own design competition show Renovation Resort Showdown, Scott McGillivray is ready to take on the Block. His partner, Brooke Hogan, is a singer, a television personality and the founder of her own design firm.

As a contractor and real estate mogul who specializes in vacation homes, Scott knows what buyers are looking for in a home-away-from-home (like a decked-out Las Vegas pad). He's also judged two seasons of Renovation Resort Showdown, so he has some special insight as to what impresses a judge. As a designer herself, Brooke brings her own level of expertise to the competition, giving her team a unique leg up.

She's a Rock the Block vet and real estate expert and he's a Super Bowl champion turned actor, producer and author. Together, they're ready to give their Sin City home a champion-worthy renovation.

Host of HGTV's Good Bones and a real estate agent, Mina knows a thing or two about making a house a home. She also knows how to sell one — two skills critical to taking home a Rock the Block win. She's also no stranger to the game, having competed in the very first season of the show. As a former pro football player, Vernon brings a healthy competitive drive to the duo that may just take them across the finish line.
