Park City, Utah, is one of the most magical places on earth. The iconic Main Street stole my heart years ago because of the character and charm — it feels like you’re walking through a postcard. Our family was visiting so often that we felt like we lived here, and last year we decided to do just that. We moved full-time to Utah and haven’t looked back. When you’re tucked up in the mountains, each day feels like an adventure. Read on and I’ll help you plan yours!

Where to Shop
- GALLERY MAR: There’s a really strong art scene in Park City, Utah, and we love visiting the galleries, especially this one featuring local artists. Bonus: On Main Street, you can spot several pieces from the graffiti artist Banksy.
- PARK CITY GARDENS: I get beautiful pots for my houseplants here, but it’s more than just a garden center. They have an adorable kids section, housewares, jewelry and clothes — I bought a denim jumpsuit here that I wear all the time at work.
- THE GENERAL STORE: You should try to make it out to the Sundance Mountain Resort (founded by Robert Redford in 1969), even if only for its great shop. The eclectic selection of fun gifts and organic and recycled goods never disappoints.

What to Do
- PARK CITY MOUNTAIN RESORT: It’s the best skiing (or snowboarding, for me!) in the world — and the site of some events for the 2034 Winter Olympics. Take a break at the Summit House lodge. I just renovated it, which was a dream come true.
- SILVER STAR TRAILHEAD: The city has more than 400 continuous miles of trails for biking, hiking and skiing. This one’s our favorite. But the best part about hiking here? Popping into the Silver Star Café for lunch afterward.
- KEMO SABE: This combination boutique and saloon specializes in custom felt hats that you can personalize with feathers, bands or studs — perfect souvenirs! There’s also a fun speakeasy bar hidden behind a secret door.
Where to Eat
- FIVE SEEDS: You might have to wait for a table at this popular breakfast and lunch spot, but do it! I’ve tried almost everything (my husband jokes that I never order the same thing twice). I love the avocado toast and the yogurt parfait with apple compote.
- THE NELSON COTTAGE BY HIGH WEST: This restaurant is next door to the High West Distillery (where we had our wedding reception), and their prix fixe dinners are paired with whiskey. Look for the grilled doughnut with ice cream and whiskey caramel.
- YUKI YAMA: This is our date-night go-to and the best restaurant on Main Street, in my opinion. The crispy tuna tartare here is superb, and the red crab and kabocha squash gyoza just might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten.
