Your guests won’t be expecting these adorable little monsters to be on the drinks menu at your next Halloween party. Each little critter shot has its own color-coordinated candy horn for extra cuteness.

Ingredients
- 6 pieces green apple taffy
- 6 pieces grape taffy
- 6 toothpicks
- 1 package (3 oz.) green apple flavored gelatin
- 1 package (3 oz.) grape flavored gelatin
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup vodka
- YIELD: 6 servings
Instructions
Unwrap the taffy pieces and knead each until malleable. Roll each piece into a short rope that tapers at one end. Place one green piece of taffy and one purple piece side-by-side with the tapered ends touching. Starting with the tapered ends, wrap the pieces around a toothpick into a horn shape. Repeat with the remaining taffy pieces and toothpicks. Let the pieces stand until set, about 5-7 minutes.

Place the green apple gelatin in a large glass. Measure and pour in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is consistent. Stir in 1/2 cup of vodka. Pour 2 tablespoons of the green gelatin in each of six 3.5 oz. shot glasses. Freeze until the top of the gelatin is just set, about 10 minutes. Keep remaining green gelatin at room temperature.
Place the grape gelatin in a large glass. Measure and pour in the remaining 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is consistent. Stir in 1/2 cup of vodka. Let cool until just warm, about 10 minutes. Pour 2 tablespoons of the purple mixture on top of the green mixture in each shot glass. Freeze until the top is just set. Pour two more tablespoons of the green gelatin on top of the purple layer, and refrigerate until well set, about 2 hours. (You will have some purple gelatin left over.)
When the gelatin is set, and just before serving, insert a horn upright into each of the six shot glasses. Serve to delighted Halloween party guests.
