Taking inspiration from the various shades of green that have proven popular decade after decade, Benjamin Moore has named Webster Green (HC-130) its 2027 Color of the Year. A deep hue reminiscent of vivid forests and historical homes, Webster Green is a versatile color that evokes a traditional feel while maintaining its freshness.

Having observed the desire among both designers and homeowners for trusted, long-lasting hues that still create distinct spaces, Benjamin Moore also announced a palette of seven accompanying colors that pair seamlessly with saturated Webster Green. White Down (OC-131), Nelson Blue (CW-635) and Wild Aster (1240) are softer hues that both highlight and subdue the richness of Webster Green, while Shakespeare Tan (228), Antique Copper (1169), Durango (2137-30) and Townsend Harbor Brown (HC-64) play up the hue's sophisticated moodiness.

How to Use Webster Green at Home
Though a decidedly confident hue, Webster Green also proves to be extremely versatile. Hannah Yeo, senior manager of color marketing at Benjamin Moore, recommends a variety of uses for the shade, including color drenching a room, as an accent on trimwork or on a front door. (Every color in the palette is exterior-friendly.) "What I love about [Webster Green] is that it's not a newly created color in response to today's trends. It's an established color from our historical color collection that feels particularly relevant in the ways that people live today," says Hannah. Its longevity in the design world is part of what makes the shade so adaptable across rooms and styles.
