A navy linen fabric was used for the custom skirt and cushion that dress up a bench to provide additional seating at the dining table. “We wanted something that went with the color palette, and added a little more sophistication,” says HGTV Urban Oasis 2023 designer Brian Patrick Flynn.

Decorative Detail

A decorative detail was added to the iron staircase railing that leads up to the second floor. “Our architect Todd came up with the idea of just adding these two-by-two blocks, which creates that super Frank Lloyd pattern,” says designer Brian Patrick Flynn. “It goes all the way around the house upstairs as well.”

The modern sideboard cabinet has four doors that open to two adjustable shelves inside. An exterior shelf and the top of the unit create additional storage space for accessories and collectibles.
