13 Designer-Recommended Amazon Home Decor Finds That Look More Expensive Than They Are
From picture lights to chic accent chairs, shop the best designer-worthy decor finds on Amazon, most of which ring in under $300.
The best way to add some more personality to your space on a tighter budget is to mix thrift store pieces with affordable new pieces. At the thrift or second-hand store, I recommend looking for trinket dishes, amber jars, uranium glassware, vases and other unusual standout pieces that help to make your space completely your own. However, if you don't have the time or the access to find larger pieces, you can really find some amazing options online. Of course, Amazon is one of the easiest places to shop, and you can certainly find affordable pieces there — but it's not always easy to find the most stylish options, and it can take some searching.
When shopping on Amazon for home decor pieces, go for classic finds that won't go in and out of style — like simple pieces of art, furniture made with wood or gold accents or small centerpieces you can swap in and out seasonally. Still, looking through the mega online retailer's large selection can be time-consuming, so we chatted with a few professional interior designers for their top Amazon home decor finds, which all come in under $600. Happy shopping!
Whether you live in a small space, are looking for ways to make the most of your open layout, or simply love fashion-forward seating, swivel barrel chairs are a great option.
“This chair is the ultimate way to bring effortless sophistication and cozy elegance into your home,” says Ishita Interiors Principal Designer, Ishita Lalan. “Its soft, textured fabric and sculptural silhouette instantly make a space look high-end and designer-curated, without the luxury price tag. Adding a refined, upscale aesthetic to any room, its softness and deep seat make it perfect for unwinding with a book, sipping coffee or simply relaxing in style.”
Interior designer and home staging expert Cathy Hobbs, author of Home Design Recipes, agrees that boucle barrel chairs are a beautiful addition to any home.
“A barrel accent chair can add a touch of warmth to any room while not taking up too much space,” she explains, noting that she’s especially drawn to silhouettes with wooden bases. “The wooden accent gives it a contemporary and modern feel.”
If you’re looking to elevate your mirror selfie, this organic full-length mirror is worth considering. “I love the irregular shape of this mirror,” Lalan says. “Unlike traditional rectangular mirrors, the curves on this feel soft and high-end, adding an element of architectural interest. Its oversized design reflects light and visually enhances any room—making small spaces feel airy and spacious.” (FYI: While many of the colors have low-in-stock alerts, this mirror has been restocked, so it’s beneficial to keep an eye on it.)
2025 is the year of cozy light, as big, overhead lighting is often too jarring. “Lighting is one of the most underrated elements in interior design, yet the right table lamp can instantly elevate a space,” Lalan says. “A sculptural ceramic lamp with a matte finish brings a modern, high-end boutique hotel aesthetic that feels both artistic and functional. More than just a light source, it creates a warm, inviting glow, mimicking the perfect ambient lighting found in luxury hotels.”
Speaking of cozy home accents, a faux fur blanket is a must. While many stunning luxe options exist, Lalan says Amazon has a few more affordable options, as well. “If there’s one thing you’ll find in almost every one of my projects, it’s a faux fur or chunky knit throw blanket,” she admits. “Why? Because nothing adds an instant feeling of coziness and luxury like a plush, textured throw. It’s the kind of detail that takes a space from beautiful to inviting, making it feel rich, layered, and effortlessly stylish.”
The little things often make the biggest impact — in life and interior design. “It’s the little things that make a space feel polished and intentional, and marble coasters are one of those details that never go unnoticed,” Lalan says. “These aren’t just practical drink coasters; they’re mini design statements that subtly elevate your home’s aesthetic. Whether your space is modern, classic, or rustic, marble blends seamlessly.”
Hobbs is a big fan of retro-modern accent chairs that are spacious and structured. “This chair might be a little larger than some accent chairs but the curved, sleek design can easily elevate any room,” Hobbs exclaims. “It's a great living room accent chair that can easily pair with whatever your existing couch style is. I also love the option of pairing two of them by a window in two different colors with a neutral side table in the middle for a modern, yet functional seating area.”
Something many homes never have enough of? Counter space — and that goes for coffee tables, too. That’s why Hobbs is a big fan of nesting coffee tables. “[A] two-piece coffee table set can either be paired together or separated to use as a coffee table and side table duo,” she explains. “I like that they have a modern and contemporary feel to them but are very sleek and minimalistic. They can easily pair with many styles so you can incorporate them into your existing living room decor. They will certainly elevate your space!”
If you prefer a less rustic-luxe aesthetic but still want in on the faux fur blanket trend, Hobbs recommends this chic bubble blanket. “I love faux fur — a faux fur blanket is one of my favorite ways to add an easy, elegant accent that can elevate any room,” she shares. “Plus they are functional — who doesn't love a faux fur blanket?! Drape one over a couch or an accent chair or fold and lay at the end of a bed.”
News Flash: You can make a statement with your side tables. “This side table is so simple but can easily elevate your space while still being functional,” Hobbs says. “Use it as a side table in a living room (without taking up too much space) or as a sleek, minimalist side table in your bedroom. For smaller living rooms, you can even use this as a coffee table! It has a water-resistant coating so no need to worry about damage or having to use coasters for drinks. And who doesn't love something that doesn't require any assembly?”
Another way to stylishly tailor the lighting in your home? With warm, glowing pendant lights. “These lights are stunning — they are lightweight and come with extensions,” says Danielle Low, B.I.D, principal designer at Liberty Cove Interiors in Naples, Florida. “They are great to upgrade any space whether it be bathrooms, bedrooms, offices or hotel rooms.”
Whether you’re a renter or looking for an easy way to transform the appearance of your kitchen, bathroom, or fireplace, peel-and-stick tiles come in handy, Low says. “The peel-and-stick backsplash is an easy way to update kitchens, feature walls and mantels,” she explains. “I used this product to enhance a client's existing fireplace surround. It features easy to remove backing and is lightweight, which makes it a no-brainer to install.”
Do you spend countless hours dreaming of a picture-perfect, Insta-worthy chef’s kitchen? Low says that this kitchen sink work station will get you one step closer to it, and for less than $300. “This sink comes with the best accessories and has a ledge integrated so accessories just slot in when using,” she reveals. “It’s easy to clean and is deep enough for large pots and pans. The sink is simply a show-stopper at such an affordable price.”
Another way to beautifully illuminate corners of your home? With a chic wireless art sconce. “This wireless art sconce adds personality to any wall and is a great way to enhance feature walls and artwork,” Low says. “It is reasonably priced and very easy to install and charging makes it super convenient.”
