If you have a Frigidaire gas range, head to your kitchen to check the model number. It may be affected by a recall of more than 180,000 ranges issued by Frigidaire parent company Electrolux Group, due to “a risk of burn hazards.”

Which Frigidaire ranges are being recalled?

This recall, announced on March 19, 2026, involves the following models of Frigidaire, Frigidaire Gallery and Frigidaire Professional Gas Ranges, within the serial number range of VF52200000 through VF54399999: FCFG3083AS, FCRG3083AD, FCRG3083AS, GCFG3060BD, GCFG3060BF, GCFG3070BF, GCRG3060BD, GCRG3060BF, PCFG3080AF, FCFG3062AB, FCFG3062AS, FCFG3062AW, FCRG3051BB, FCRG3051BS, FCRG3051BW, FCRG3052BB, FCRG3052BS, FCRG3052BW, FCRG3062AB, FCRG3062AS, FCRG3062AW, FCRG306LAF and GCFG3059BF.

You can find both the model number and the serial number of your range printed on a nameplate in the drawer underneath the oven.

Where were the recalled gas ranges sold?

The ranges were manufactured in the United States and sold across the U.S. and in Canada at retail stores including Lowe’s and The Home Depot, among others, as well as online via frigidaire.com. They were available between June 2025 and January 2026 and priced from $630 to $2,700. About 174,800 of the ranges were sold in the U.S. and 5,300 in Canada.

Why are the ranges being recalled?

“The ovens in the ranges can experience a delayed ignition of the oven's bake burner, posing a risk of burn hazards to users,” a recall notice posted online by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission states.

As of March 19, there have been 62 reports of delayed ignition of the oven’s bake burner, which have resulted in 30 reported burn injuries, according to the CSPC and Electrolux Group.

What should you do if your range was recalled?

If your range has been recalled, you are urged to stop using the oven right away and contact Electrolux Group to arrange for a free repair. (You can safely continue to use the range’s cooktop burners, Electrolux says.) The company is offering those affected by the recall “professional in-home installation of a new bake burner at no cost.”

If you have questions or would like more information about the recall, you can reach Electrolux Group toll-free by phone at 866-291-7633 (8:30 am to 8 pm ET, Monday through Friday), by email at gasovenburnerrecall@electrolux.com or online at www.GasOvenBurnerRecall.com.
