The front porch addition with standard pine framing includes Western Red Cedar posts. “Stainless steel cable rail was used for the railing infill to give the porch a clean, modern look,” says build manager Dylan Eastman.

This second set of vintage theater seats add more seating to the front porch, with another cozy textured throw blanket and striped throw pillow that pick up the tones and shades of coral and red on the porch and in the entry inside.

Bold Entry
With the front door open, visitors get a look at the home's bold entry with coral and white stripes on the walls. A switch from traditional nautical blue and white stripes, the colorful wallpaper transforms a space that designer Brian Patrick Flynn says previously was "dark and dingy and it felt like a basement."

Coastal-Inspired Details
Build manager Dylan Eastman found the modern architectural front door with glass that connects the entry to the porch outside. The door was sprayed coral, a color inspired by the life preservers seen on the docks in the waterfront of Portland, Maine.

To play with color and bring the vibrancy of the front entry upstairs, designer Brian Patrick Flynn used the same coral and white striped wallpaper up the stairwell to the second floor, where the bedrooms and studio are located.
