Color Contrast
The rich forest-green designer Brian Patrick Flynn used for the guest bedroom walls is a color that never goes out of style. But to make sure the green seemed soft and not super dark, he juxtaposed the green with pale blush pink relaxed Roman shades with a slight swoop at the bottom for the bedroom windows.

The ultra-white guest bed was an old piece found locally on social media. The design team stripped the bed, and sprayed it a bright shade of white. "We gave it a new lease on life," says designer Brian Patrick Flynn. "We bought local things that other people were trying to get rid of and breathe new life into them."

The comfy bed includes a soft green full-sized diamond-patterned coverlet, and a blush duvet, pillowcases and fitted sheets made from 100% European flax that makes the bedding soft, breathable and long lasting.

A pink vintage chest added inside the closet offers a way to keep boots, shoes and bags off the floor. "We found this oak chest at an antique market, stripped it, and then sprayed it in a similar shade of blush to what you see on the windows," says designer Brian Patrick Flynn.

The guest bedroom’s painted utility-grade pine floor in different widths creates a clean backdrop for the more colorful design details in the space. The dramatic floor was sprayed with a thick white enamel boat-like finish, that creates a shiny surface that bounces light everywhere.
