Using a long level and notching the placement of tacks as he worked, carpenter David Brown studded wall surfaces with decorative nailheads. "On upholstery, it's a traditional application. Instead we used them on the walls and it became contemporary, cool and edgy," says interior designer Linda Woodrum.
