Hayley's Bathroom: Before
As a single mother of three, Jenn wanted to give Hayley the dreamy and spa-like bathroom she deserves, which meant this 1950’s one — along with its bubblegum-pink tiles — had to go.
Hayley's Bathroom: After
The new bathroom is just what Hayley needs: a private, relaxing space boasting neutral tones and a calming ambiance. To add extra personality, Jenn chose sleek hexagon tiles for the shower wall and charcoal tiles for the floor. Now, the bathroom feels spacious and inviting.
Debby's Bedroom: Before
Debby’s bedroom is what Jenn called a “pre-teen room.” With lime green walls and easter-egg themed bedding, it needed a major upgrade.
Debby's Bedroom: After
Jenn elevated and transformed the bedroom into a mature and homey space where Debby can relax. A light wooden bed frame and contrasting dark bedside table add earthy texture to the room, while botanical wallpaper and a pot of greenery tie it all together.
Debby's Bathroom: Before
The lime green theme extended into Debby’s bathroom. Besides the overbearing green hue emanating throughout the room, she also hated the mirror and light fixtures and wanted a new bathtub.
Debby's Bathroom: After
Debby had no clear vision for what she wanted, but Jenn sure did. The new bathroom is unrecognizable, boasting a sleek white vanity, a marble countertop, two round brass mirrors and a free-standing bathtub. Brass hardware complements all the white for an elegant and sophisticated feel. It's no surprise Debby declared this space as her favorite part of the renovation.
Debby's Video Game Room: Before
“The former living room, which is also the first thing guests see when coming into Debby’s home, is basically a giant man cave complete with its own fish tank and dirtwood,” said Jenn.
Debby's Video Game Room: After
Jenn vowed to make a statement with this space, so guests wouldn't be greeted with a lifeless room dedicated to video games. Soft pink armchairs, built-in shelving and a wedding chandelier give the living area a welcoming feel. Now, the inviting space is ready for guests.
Nick and Ashley's Playroom: Before
Nick and Ashley have three children, so the playroom gets hectic and messy fast. They needed better organization and more space for play.
Nick and Ashley's Playroom: After
By replacing the messy chalk wall with three individual workstations, Jenn gave each child a designated spot to do art and DIY projects. When it's clean-up time, the kids can put their toys, art tools and stationery onto the newly built shelves and cabinets.
Jimmie and Amanda's Bathroom: Before
This bland bathroom needed a major makeover. The vanity was too short for Jimmie and Amanda, plus they wanted fresh colors to brighten it all up.
Jimmie and Amanda's Bathroom: After
The show’s called No Demo Reno for a reason. Without tearing down walls or making major changes, Jennifer paired a brand new vanity (coated with light blue paint) with a white quartz countertop to achieve a coastal paradise.
Jimmie and Amanda's Living Room: Before
The living room's lack of seating made entertaining guests difficult. Jimmie and Amanda wanted to revamp the space by removing the carpet, updating the ceiling and replacing the mantle above the fireplace.
Jimmie and Amanda's Living Room: After
In true Jenn style, the original fireplace is still the star of the new, modern farmhouse-style living room. Her trick? Replacing the old, heavy mantle with a delicate, wooden one to show off the stone. Updated built-ins and new couches make the space feel homey, airy and bright.
Jimmie and Amanda's Kitchen: Before
Jimmie and Amanda’s old kitchen was outdated and non-functional. The two-level island blocked the view of the kitchen from the living room, while the stove sat in an awkward area. Amanda’s main concern was not having enough counter space to prep and cook food.
Jimmie and Amanda's Kitchen: After
The layout of the newly renovated kitchen remains the same, but subtle changes — like the single-level island and placement of the stove — make the kitchen functional and personalized to Jimmie and Amanda’s liking. A white quartz countertop with wooden, open cabinets underneath give the kitchen a modern farmhouse feel. Jenn elevated the look with black pendant light fixtures.
Barry and Fabia's Pool House: Before
Barry and Fabia wanted to take full advantage of their pool house when hosting family members, but first it needed a major renovation.
Barry and Fabia's Pool House: After
This was Jenn's first time renovating a pool house, and because Fabia was persistent on removing the non-load bearing wall separating the (once) home gym and living room, she did something she's never typically done: tear down walls. The old home gym is now a part of the living room, while the new dining table ensures Fabia can comfortably host all her family members. A wainscoting railing and picture-frame molding on the walls add subtle glamour to the room. The entire pool house boasts new tiled floors.
Tyron and Iris' Kitchen: Before
Instead of a traditional kitchen with a “cookie-cutter” design, Iris wanted a more contemporary space boasting vibrance and elegance.
Tyron and Iris' Kitchen: After
The attention stealer of Tyron and Iris’ black-and-white, contemporary kitchen is the quartz waterfall countertop with gray veining. Bold, two-tone cabinets bring sharp contrast to the space, while brass hardware and a chic pendant light fixture add some shine.
Fong and Dre's Dining Room: Before
The amount of cherrywood and brownish tones in this dining area was overwhelming, draining the space of much-needed light. Fong and Dre were ready for a new space fit for entertaining.
Fong and Dre's Dining Room: After
By removing the bookcase and piano, Jenn turned the space into an area where family can enjoy eating in peace. A black chandelier adds rustic charm, while greenery infuses life. Jenn also proved using darker hued furniture (the brown wooden dinner table) doesn't have to darken an entire space. She balanced this room out by keeping the walls white. Bonus points: Jenn included craftsman trim for a delicate touch.
Rick and Rita's Living Room: Before
Though Jenn described Rick and Rita’s house as dark, dreary and dated, she also declared it perfect for a “little demo, big reno!”
Rick and Rita's Living Room: After
Talk about a transformation. After switching out the antique furniture for new couches and painting the walls white, the living room looks alive. Natural light pours into the space through the pre-existing, unobstructed windows. A round coffee table adds a modern farmhouse flair, making the living room extra inviting. Jenn's pro tip: To brighten up a room, choose white or neutral-colored furniture. The sunlight will reflect lighter colors.
Rick and Rita's Office: Before
No one likes to do work in dark and moody spaces, which is why Rick couldn’t stand working — let alone sitting — in his office. To make it functional, the room needed brighter lighting, shelving space and new furniture. Oh, and no more depressing, blue walls.
Rick and Rita's Office: After
Keeping the same flooring, Jenn fulfilled Rick’s requests. She sought to maintain the space's minimal and masculine feel, while making sure it matched the contemporary style of the rest of the house.
Rick and Rita's Bathroom: Before
Bathrooms are meant to be a light and airy space, everything this bathroom is not. A bigger shower, sleek vanity, white walls — Rick and Rita were ready to get rid of everything and welcome the bathroom of their dreams.
Rick and Rita's Bathroom: After
To create a spa-like feel, Jenn went with white hexagon floor tile and frameless glass shower doors. Sometimes less is more: Removing the blinds on the pre-existing windows allow natural light to seep through, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Rick and Rita never used the old bathtub and removing it opened up the space.
