Ready, Set, Stream!
We’re getting excited (really, really excited). Discovery+ is coming, and we can’t wait to stream all our favorite shows from the couch … under a blanket … with a candle burning and a cup of hot cocoa resting on our favorite coaster. Now if your anticipation is as real as ours, it may be time to prepare your what-to-watch-first list, because (trust us on this one) when January 4 rolls around, you’ll want to be prepared. So, we asked our editors: What show are you most excited to binge on discovery+? Here’s what they said.
Home Town: Ben’s Workshop
It may be time for a family night with this one — small-town charm and all. HGTV editors cannot wait to watch the Napiers in all their authentic, wood-working glory (and bring their spouses along for the ride). “I’m counting down the days,” says social media manager Dale Jolley. “I could watch Ben shape and refine the same piece of wood all day and never get tired of it. Plus, he’s one of the hardest working people on HGTV. The magic captured is all real.” Not to mention, Ben’s artistry combined with Erin’s skills makes for double the design magic. “I have a feeling after watching this show I’ll be inspired to build (*ahem,* ask my husband to build) some new pieces,” says editor Lauren Fansler.

Celebrity IOU
Maybe you need a little more Rainn Wilson in your life — Season 2, Episode 3, FYI — like HGTV Magazine copy editor Maude Campbell (“The Office reruns just aren’t doing it anymore.") Or maybe you need a happy cry. Either way, add Celebrity IOU to your binge-worthy index, immediately. “I’m watching the second season first, because I’m a not-so-secret Zooey Deschanel fan and she’s in the first new episode (you know why),” says Kelly Smith-Trimble, director of editorial for HGTV.com.

My Lottery Dream Home
If we can’t real-life hang with David Bromstad — iconic silk pajama sets and all — we’ll make do with streaming My Lottery Dream Home (for hours and hours). "I’ll be binging every season,” says Kathleen Knowles, editorial assistant for HGTV Magazine. “David's fun energy is unmatched. Plus, there’s nothing better than watching families find their dream homes."

Rock the Block
Up for a little nail-biting competition? "I'm super excited," says HGTV Magazine’s assistant market editor, Samantha Roberts. "You get to watch the best of the best compete against one another and create amazing spaces." What's even better is Rock the Block is back for a second, binge-inducing season. “The expert renovators and seasoned designers are doubling-up and competing in teams of two to transform four identical suburban properties,” says Morgan Faulkner, editorial assistant for HGTV.com. “With new competitors and new judges, I can’t wait to binge the show on d+ and get inspired all over again.”

House Hunters: Comedians on Couches
We're all looking for some laughter at the moment. “The first season of House Hunters: Comedians on Couches is hilarious,” says Lizzie Simon, assistant visual editor for HGTV Magazine. “I can’t wait to watch it all over again.” We concur. A night spent with John Mulaney is a night well spent.

If Walls Could Talk
Beautiful old houses, hidden secrets and 13 full seasons. Um, that's major binge potential. This HGTV throwback features fascinating finds and heart-touching stories that homeowners uncover while remodeling their historic homes. “I grew up watching HGTV with my mom. Every week we would settle in to watch this show,” says Chelsea Faulkner, HGTV.com editor. “I can attest it’s just as interesting and awesome now as it was then — but with a heavy dose of ‘90s nostalgia.”
Rehab Addict
If you're an old house addict still searching for a fix (after binging every season of If Walls Could Talk, of course), Chelsea recommends Rehab Addict. “Host Nicole Curtis is one of my all-time faves. She does an incredible job rescuing and restoring ramshackle homes to their original glory,” says Chelsea. “Plus, a brand-new season of Rehab Addict Rescue airs in the new year. So exciting!”

Sarah Off the Grid
Like HGTV.com managing editor Camille Smith, you may think you’ve seen all of Sarah Richardson’s makeovers, but there’s really only one way to find out. “From her cozy farmhouse (that was country when country wasn’t cool!) to her easy-breezy lake house, Sarah’s laidback approach to timeless style never disappoints,” says Camille. “I look forward to spending a little more time with Tommy, her design assistant, and brushing up on Sarah's excellent pro tips.”

HGTV House Party
“Let’s see … HGTV stars and HGTV-obsessed celebrities drinking cocktails and spilling the tea on what REALLY happens on set? I’ll be binging this fun, gossipy series with my own cocktail in hand,” says executive producer Marianne Canada. It’s a no-brainer. You’ll want (need?) a cocktail and a comfy couch for this one.

Restored by the Fords
We could watch Leanne Ford renovate houses in overalls forever. Throw in Steve and … well, the streaming never stops. “Leanne is such a risk-taker with design, and it inspires me to try different things in my own home,” says Molly Miller, assistant editor for HGTV.com. “I loved seeing what ideas she came up with in each episode!"
