Materials Needed

  • foam balls (medium to large mixed sizes)
  • small white foam balls (for eyes)
  • (1) can of black spray paint
  • black glitter
  • wooden rounds
  • (1) box of toothpicks
  • black acrylic paint
  • small paint brush
  • hot glue gun
  • packages of black fuzzy bump pipe cleaners (for legs)

Paint + Glitter

Completely cover the large or medium foam ball with black spray paint (Image 1). While it's still wet, pour on the black glitter and let it dry (Image 2).

Attach Base + Create Eyes

Attach the glittered ball to the wooden round with hot glue and let it dry (Image 1). Push a toothpick halfway through each of the small white foam balls, then stick them into the large glitter ball to form the spider's eyes (Image 2). Finish the details on the eyes with the black acrylic paint (Image 3).

Make Eight Little Legs

Push the pipe cleaners into the Styrofoam ball and bend to form the legs. If you want to make them extra creepy, twist two of the pipe cleaners together (Images 1 and 2). Display these cute spiders inside or out for creepy-crafty Halloween decor (Image 3).
