The View of All Views
While some might think that creating more than one focal point in a space is asking for trouble, Christina proves that it can look downright inviting. Here, she paired a big-screen TV over top a fireplace, all in front of large windows leading to an outdoor living space. With so much to look at, these homeowners' guests are sure to want to sit and stay awhile.
A Cozy Outdoor Living Space
Living spaces don't only have to exist indoors. Here, Christina utilized modern wicker furniture to create the ultimate outdoor lounge spot.
A Cozy Compact Living Space
While sprawling layouts make for impressive living spaces, Christina knows how to make the most of more compact areas of the home, too. In this living space, she uses bright white paint on the walls to help expand the appearance of the space, while opting for a double focal point that doesn't force the homeowners to choose between a fireplace or a TV.
Speaking of ... A Sprawling Living Space
When working with a more open floor plan, Christina likes to extend the living space throughout the home. In this case, she chose a large sectional sofa and two barrel chairs situated on the far end of the space, giving seated guests viewpoints of not only the TV and fireplace, but the kitchen, dining area and outdoor living space, too.
A Colorful Outdoor Space
Moving outside from the open floor plan in the last slide, Christina went with trendy aqua rattan chairs and a series of plants to create an easily accessible hint of nature.
A Modern Living Space With Plenty of Room for Activities
This wide-open floor plan has everything you need for a cozy day of lounging: a large sectional sofa, big-screen TV, huge dining table and eye-catching wine cellar that practically serves as a piece of art. And since the kitchen is complete with extra seating, folks can sit all around the space while still being able to interact.
Dark Accents
While the walls are bright white, Christina opted for darker furniture and window accents to add high contrast to the space. Rather than looking gloomy, however, the space looks cozy as can be.
A Small Space Well Utilized
In this home, Christina made the most of a smaller space by creating a cozy chair-centric conversation area, alongside a table fit for doing homework, playing games, eating a snack or just catching up.
A Cozy Conversation Nook
When we think of living spaces, so often we think of large rooms complete with televisions, books and games. Here, however, Christina shows us that you can create little living spaces throughout your home by making the most of otherwise overlooked corners.
An Everyday Date Spot
We love how Christina chose to keep a television out of this little living space. With just two chairs, a candle-lit fireplace and an ornate mirror, it has an undeniably romantic vibe that could easily be the homeowners' go-to at-home date spot.
Seating Galore
One of the key components of an inviting living space is to offer enough seating for you and your guests. Here, Christina added poufs throughout the space to create even more seating in addition to the sectional and corner chairs.
California White
So much of Christina's signature California style revolves around the color white. While the color alone might not seem like the most relaxed hue (given the amount of upkeep), when styled with care, it helps create a serene living space that just begs to be lounged in.
Multipurpose Living
One of the things we love most about this bright living space is how it can be used to watch TV or to have a face-to-face conversation. While some folks may veer away from styling chairs with their backs to a TV, Christina shows us just how welcoming it can look.
The Beauty of Built-Ins
Before exiting this bright white space, we want to take a moment to applaud the built-ins. While these are filled with decor, they offer an excellent idea for folks looking for storage options. After all, in addition to the upper wall shelves, the unit includes a series of doors and drawers for hidden storage.
A Lived-In Living Space
Whether you have kids, pets or just prefer a more stain-friendly color palette, this beige living space will give you inspiration. In signature Christina fashion, it's styled with multiple types of seating, as well as a diagonal rug, floor pillows and poufs.
The Perfect 5 O'Clock Spot
As if the white cushions and light wooden chair frames didn't immediately capture our attention, the built-in wine fridge in the corner most certainly did. Just imagine wrapping up your work day in this cozy living space.
Making the Most of Wall Space
When working with smaller spaces, Christina finds a way to still include all the key components of a cozy living area. Here, she simply pushed the television up toward the ceiling so that the homeowners didn't have to miss out on storage or a fireplace.
Modern Minimalist
As much as Christina likes to make the most of a space, she also enjoys delivering on her clients' exact requests, hence why this home features more of a minimalist lounge space than one chock-full of seating and poufs.
Plenty of Seating
When working with large families or homeowners who like to host, Christina makes a point of offering as much seating as possible. Here, she did so with a sectional, poufs and standalone chairs.
The Entertainment Center to End All Entertainment Centers
Before exiting the last space, let's zoom in on the entertainment wall. Rather than adding just one television to the space, Christina opted for three to fit her clients' needs. This is a particularly great option for families with children or folks who love sports, as it will allow them to have multiple shows or games running at once.
