Glowing Mom-to-Be
In celebration of her third child, Christina's bestie Cassie Zebisch threw her a bohemian-inspired baby shower. A collection of dreamcatchers and Moroccan lanterns set the scene and make for an adorable photo backdrop.
The Newest Addition
The happy couple, Christina and her husband, Ant, get ready to welcome their first child together. With Christina's children, Taylor and Brayden, and Ant's kids, Amelie and Archie, their blended family is growing to a fun-filled seven.
Location, Location, Location
The baby shower was held at the Balboa Bay Resort, set on Newport Bay with beautiful waterfront views. Distressed white chairs surround the provincial table for appealing farmhouse charm, while elegant white umbrellas provide shade.
Scripted Love
In addition to the dreamcatchers, a sweet sign welcoming "Baby Anstead" scrolls in front of the trees.
Save Their Seats
Effortless place settings are a blend of raw-edge napkins, modern flatware and hexagon marble place cards with metallic scripted names.
Joyful Get-Together
Christina's pals planned the gathering for 24 of her closest friends and family. Thoughtful gift bags, including Pink Dust Cosmetics and a custom bracelet from The Lace Project, were sent home with each guest.
Cute + Clever Craft Stations
Christina and her daughter, Taylor, enjoy making bath salts at one of the fun DIY spots. Guests also had the opportunity to plant a succulent to take home.
Drink Up
Guests were greeted with a fully stocked mimosa bar, complete with chilled champagne, fresh juices and fruits. For a twist on the typical, the ice bucket is topped with pretty white flowers to create the illusion of floating in blooms. Sweet little "baby" cocktail stirrers decorate each glass.
Serve Buffet Style
Buffets are ideal for casual, relaxed affairs. When laying out your spread, look for unusual pieces to show off your food. Wine crates boast Old-World charm and reflect the rustic nature of sliced baguettes, cheese crisps and other charcuterie staples.
Think Outside the Box
An unexpected and clever veggie display looks like a garden planted in a galvanized container. Guests have an array of dips from which to choose.
Mix It Up
The combination of hammered industrial bases with organic wood serving trays creates a striking juxtaposition.
Singular Salads
Individual servings not only make for an eye-catching display, but are also an easy way to serve salads with little mess. Opt for simple clear glassware that allows the gorgeous veggies and fruit to really shine, and use a variety of glass sizes to add interest.
Bouquets of Blooms
Penelope Pots Floral + Event Design created the lovely floral centerpieces and sprays that bring color and life to the soiree.
Delightful Confections
Natural wood slab serving trays and wooden cake stands with rivet detailing continues the mix of industrial and farmhouse styles. Naked cakes decorated with twine bring Christina's beloved boho vibe to the table.
Oh-So-Delicious Presentation
Start your dessert table design with a centerpiece, like a tiered cake, and then layer in an assortment of goodies. Infuse dimension and interest in your display by varying height, serveware and making sure to create balance, either symmetrically or asymmetrically.
Personalized Desserts
Customize your treats to your party. To congratulate Christina on her newly expected boy, the dessert table features doughnuts in glittery blue icing and sweetly decorated cookies.
For the Bundle of Joy
Ant stopped by with a beautiful bouquet of flowers for Christina and joined the group for one of the shower games. Everyone chose between Christina or Ant from a list of questions, such as "Who knew Christina was pregnant first?" and "Who will change more diapers?"
Gracious Gift Table
Designate a table for guests to place presents. To continue your party theme, look for a table, like this rustic wooden one, that adds to the overall décor.
