Kid-Friendly DIY Snow Globes

This Christmas, get kids crafting to turn plastic cups and small holiday decorations into fun and easy snowglobe ornaments.

Materials Needed

  • small plastic cups or wine glasses
  • hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • small wooden discs
  • pipe cleaners
  • small holiday figurines and decorations
  • craft paint
  • paint brush

Paint Wooden Discs

Using craft paint, cover both sides of wooden discs that will act as the base for the snow globes. Allow to dry completely.

Create a Scene

Using hot glue (parents help kids with this part) attach small decorations to painted disc to create a winter scene that will fit inside your cup.

Add Cup

Attach the inverted cup to the wooden disc with hot glue. Use a pipe cleaner or festive trim to hide the edges.

Add a Hanger

Again using a pipe cleaner, attach to the top with glue as a hanger.

Decorate Top and Display

Feel free to embellish the top of the snowglobe with pompoms, bows and more.
