Materials Needed
- small faux pumpkin
- large faux pumpkin
- plastic vampire teeth
- pumpkin carving knife
- (1) can of black spray paint
- hot glue gun
- (4) 9" x 12" 2mm black foam sheets
- decoupage medium or other glue
- black glitter
- utility knife
- floral wire
Prep the Small Pumpkin
Lay the smaller pumpkin on its side and trace around the outside of the plastic vampire teeth with a marker near the center (Image 1). Cut along the line with the pumpkin-carving knife to create a place for the plastic vampire teeth (Image 2). Remove the excess piece and then use the knife to cut a 3" circle in the bottom of the pumpkin (Image 3). Tip: The circle just needs to be wide enough for the larger pumpkin top to go inside the smaller pumpkin bottom and be secured with hot glue.

Create Wings
Layer 2 sheets of 9" x 12" black foam sheets together. Draw an outline of the bat's wings and ears, then cut out with scissors (Images 1 and 2). Cover one side of each wing with decoupage medium or glue (Image 3). While the glue is still wet, pour a significant amount of glitter to fully cover the surface (Image 4). Let dry, then carefully shake off the excess glitter.

Attach Wings
Determine where to put the slits on the pumpkin to attach the wings, then cut two small slits on each side (Image 1). Cut a length of floral wire and bend to insert each end into the slits forming the wing support. Use hot glue to securely anchor the floral wire ends into the pumpkin slits (Image 2). After the glue dries, reshape the floral wire before attaching the foam wings. Use hot glue to attach the two sides of black foam to the floral wire, creating the wings (Images 3 and 4).
