Time to hit the gas on this fun venture! All you need for this car ride activity is a printed copy of our road trip scavenger hunt, a pen or pencil to cross off items as you go and a reward for the winners. If you're working as a family, designate one person as the writer to announce the items and keep track as they’re spotted. This is an excellent opportunity to work on reading comprehension and picture identification, too. Once all items have been found, celebrate with a fun road trip treat or extra pitstop adventure.
Want to make the hunt a bit more competitive? Work in two teams: driver’s side versus passenger side. You can only cross off items seen out of your respective windows. The first team to find all of the items on their list or the team with the most items before reaching the destination wins. Prizes could include choosing where to eat for dinner that night or a small souvenir at your next gift shop.
