Combine Coffee and Spices

Start by brewing 8 cups of coffee, then remove the carafe and add the spices (Image 1). Add the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and vanilla extract (Image 2), and stir until blended (Image 3).

Froth Milk

If you have a milk frother, use that (Image 1), otherwise warm 6 cups of milk in a saucepan over medium heat. The milk should be very hot but not boiling. Then, use a motorized whisk to beat the milk until it doubles in volume (Image 2).

Pour Into Cups

Add about 1/4 teaspoon of maple syrup into the bottom of each cup (Image 1), then top off with about a 1/2 cup of the warm, spiced coffee mixture from the carafe (Image 2). Spoon the foamed milk on top to fill each cup about an inch below the rim (Image 3).

Add Liquor

If you want to give this latte a little kick, add a splash of brandy.
