HGTV Urban Oasis 2013: Main Bathroom Pictures
Smart and stylish, the main bathroom offers a spa oasis, plus stunning views of Boston's cityscape.
A sleek space with furnishings pared down, the main bathroom invites relaxation. A 6-foot floating quartz vanity commands attention and breaks up a sea of tile in neutral tones.
Space-saving pocket doors separate the main bedroom from the laundry area, closet and main bathroom.
The 2' 4" x 5' 4" shower stall is clad floor to ceiling in a mix of tumbled marble and glass mosaic tile. A window, carved into the wall, provides views into the main bedroom and through windows beyond.
"We mirrored the area underneath the main bath counter," says interior designer Lindsay Pumpa. "If you are standing in the main bedroom and look into the bathroom, the mirror makes the ceiling look twice as high. We used as many tricks as we could to make the space feel larger."
The glass enclosure invites light to travel from the main bedroom through the shower stall and into the bathroom. Chrome linear handles add a touch of shine and sparkle.
A roller shade, mounted above the picture window in the main bedroom, may be drawn when privacy is required.
