Modern Loft Living Room
Nine windows that ensconce the loft provide amazing views of the former Stapleton International Airport, the historic air traffic control tower and the Rocky Mountains, a 30-minute drive from the neighborhood. “The loft allows people to experience that indoor/outdoor relationship that is so special here,” says Infinity Home Collection’s general manager, David Steinke.
Wood Stairs With Iron Railing Lead to White Loft
A maple and iron staircase leads to the loft entry, marked by a driftwood sawhorse table and a trio of acrylic and graphite paintings on Yupo paper by artist Susan Helbig. “We liked the graphic feel and the contemporary feel of her work,” says interior designer Linda Woodrum.

Leather poofs, which nest under the sawhorse table, serve as additional seating should a gathering move from kitchen and dining area to the second floor.
Contemporary Decor and Artwork
The marriage of exotic and rustic, an arrangement of bird of paradise flowers pairs well with iron fixtures.

A beetle-kill pine door separates the loft from the master suite. It’s treated with an oil stain in a shade of weathered teak.

The final furnishing chosen for the room, an armchair constructed from pieces of Brazilian Pinus wood, hand-glued and nailed in place, pops when paired with more traditional furnishings. “When we set that chair in that room it just started singing,” says interior designer Linda Woodrum. “Bringing in something unique, different and slightly unexpected is what makes a room come alive.”
Contemporary Living Room With Black TV Stand
Two 4-foot, dark wood console tables partner to create a platform for the flat-screen TV. “We had so much going on in the room that the console had to be discreet and disappear,” says interior designer Linda Woodrum.

A wire mesh mirror, set against a wall of white, serves as a room focal point. “We needed a little punch that had a piece of whimsy to it,” says interior designer Linda Woodrum.

“You want something you can put a tray on, you can eat on and you can put your feet on,” says interior designer Linda Woodrum of leather-topped ottomans.

Within steps of the second-floor bedrooms, the loft area is an ideal space to convene with guests. “The sectional is conducive to everyone sitting together. I think it’s psychological: It evokes family cuddling together,” says interior designer Linda Woodrum.
