When brainstorming with house planner Jack Thomasson and builder David Steinke about the home's bonus space, interior designer Linda Woodrum put herself in the shoes of HGTV Green Home's new owner.
I remember having young children and living in a house with the laundry upstairs by the bedroom. It drove me nuts because I spent a lot of time in the kitchen with the kids doing homework. I wanted the laundry near the kitchen.Interior Designer Linda Woodrum
Having always valued a conveniently located laundry room and work area, Linda Woodrum helped design this space with practicality in mind. Thus evolved a laundry room equipped with work cubicles separated by task (craft projects, business, gift-wrapping and laundry) and a cozy sitting area designed for reading or relaxation.
