Tour Alison Victoria's Mediterranean-Inspired Las Vegas Villa

Designer and host of HGTV's Windy City Rehab, Alison Victoria graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and began her design career there. Now, she's back in the desert filming her spinoff, Sin City Rehab, so, of course, she's created her own personal oasis. Alison's Las Vegas home blends her love of vintage pieces, entertaining, working out and luxurious details. One of the highlights of "Villa Victoria" is a lush outdoor garden. Lime, lemon and orange trees line the walls of the garden (a touch of Greece in Sin City), and Alison grows herbs and lettuce in raised beds. "This is something you would never expect in Vegas," says Alison. "This house is a true mix of two places I love so much: the Mediterranean and Cabo."

The entrance to Alison's home gives visitors an immediate sense of what's to come inside. Her love of plants, natural colors and textures is apparent in the abundant foliage outside her front door — which is flanked by a fountain emitting the pleasing sound of trickling water. The terra-cotta-tile pathway transports visitors to an arched wooden front door Alison salvaged from an old church in Spain.

Alison loves the lines of her low-slung, cloudlike family room furniture, which she says is "super comfy and cozy." She has left a good portion of what she calls her family room fairly open to afford plenty of space for dancing when she has friends over. "This is the party zone," says Alison. "I knew when I bought this house that this was the dance floor."

An antique green marble mantel Alison found in Paris is a statement piece in the family room. The built-in bookcases have a Venetian plaster finish and feature backlit lighting to display beloved objects and travel and family mementos. Notice the contemporary arched lines on these bookcases: The arched detail reoccurs throughout Alison's home, beginning with the arched front door. "This wall serves a purpose," says Alison of her desire to keep some walls intact rather than creating a completely open space, as some advised.

Alison salvaged this gorgeous massive bar from a Chicago speakeasy. "I had to pay homage to my first city and my first love," says Alison. She integrated small built-in gold lamps and left the original brass rails unlaquered for extra vintage patina. The bar opens up to her dance floor.

An oval dining table is warmer and more inviting than a traditional rectangular one, and this one — which seats eight — echoes the curved lines that define Alison's home and seamlessly blends the indoors and the outdoors. Large black-framed doors offer a view of the outdoor kitchen and bar for even more entertaining options.

Alison's private walled garden space testifies to her love of entertaining and outdoor living. Every room in her home has a view to the outside, which features a covered patio with a dining table, kitchen, and bar and an open-to-the-elements family room with a faux-bois fire pit. Alison likes to end each day with a soak in the aboveground hot tub (visible from her bedroom), which features hand-painted tiles from Mexico. The outdoor space intentionally gives the feel of a resort and continues the indoor theme of whitewashed furniture, wood, plants and a fresh, clean, organic style.

As a longtime HGTV host and designer, Alison knows small details make a home memorable and cohesive. Her Las Vegas home leans into unique architectural features, like this arched doorway leading to the kitchen and breakfast nook.

"If you haven't noticed, green is the theme," says Alison of the colorway that continues throughout her home. She took advantage of the spectacular ceiling height in her kitchen by creating a Venetian plaster vent hood with reclaimed wood that extends to the ceiling. Always on trend, Alison leans into the organic, nature-inspired ambiance of a green kitchen as a fresh antidote to the expected pure white standard. The particular shade of green she chose for the cabinets was inspired by her Greek grandmother's dishes.

A bright white wall-to-wall channeled banquette and a large round table offer plenty of room to congregate in Alison's open kitchen. Beyond is a continuation of the kitchen's deep green cabinetry, including a hidden refrigerator, full freezer and built-in coffeemaker. Alison added a picture window to the breakfast area to take full advantage of the views outside. The next best thing to a private chef? Food Network chef Antonia Lofaso is a neighbor.

Reclaimed French wooden double doors with a weathered texture lead from a hallway into Alison's warm, restful primary suite. "The most beautiful I've ever found," says Alison of the white oak doors that she left intact. No refinishing, no fixing.

A backdrop of white walls and ivory furniture allows accessories like a striking woven wall piece, plants and tapestry pillows to stand out. Alison's mini-lounge in her primary bedroom is the ideal place to unwind and where she often watches television.

The design of this spa-like bathroom was inspired by Alison's stays in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. "I wanted it to feel like a five-star resort in Cabo," says Alison. The shower and tub are integrated into a wet room that Alison says is "probably the greatest bathroom I've ever done." The soaking tub features an eye-catching gold exterior and a green interior — and boasts unmatched views of the foliage outside. "I wanted the landscape to become the window treatment," she says.

Alison calls this primary bathroom retreat "my full-on oasis." As an admitted skin-care junkie, this resort-style bathroom offers plenty of cabinet space and open shelving to store her many products. She used Alison Victoria Gem Marble Mosaic tile from her own collection in the open-plan bathroom, which also features retro gold sconces and a view of her bedroom fireplace.
