Pin the Spider on the Web Party Game
Turn everyday craft supplies into an interactive game that kids will love playing at your next Halloween party which is a variation of the classic party game, Pin the Tail on the Donkey.
Materials Needed:
- black yarn
- glue dots
- glitter card stock in various colors
- transfer paper
- pen
- scissors
- fabric for blindfold
- tape measure or yardstick

Create Spiders
Download and print spider pattern, attached above, onto standard printer paper. Flip glittered card stock over and trace spider's outline onto the paper's back using transfer paper. Using scissors, cut spider out. Tip: Make multiple spiders using different colors of card stock so several guests can play at once.

Make Spider Web
To make a spider web on the wall, begin by cutting 4 lengths of yarn about 3 feet long and attach them to the wall in a crisscross pattern using glue dots to secure the ends (Image 1). Beginning at one piece of yarn and using glue dots at each cross point, adhere another piece of yarn in a circular pattern, securing at each cross point (Image 2). Continue with the glue dots in the same pattern, using a separate piece of yarn for each new part of the web (Image 3). Continue in this manner until the yarn completely circles around to form the web (Images 4 and 5).
Begin Making the Web
To make a spider web on the wall, begin by cutting 4 lengths of yarn about 3 feet long and attach them to the wall in a criss-cross pattern using glue dots to secure the ends.
Begin Forming Web Circle
Beginning at one piece of yarn and using glue dots at each cross point, adhere another piece of yarn in a circular pattern, securing at each cross point.
Continue Forming the Web Pattern
Continue with the glue dots in the same pattern, using a separate piece of yarn for each new part of the web.
Continue to Circle Web with Yarn
Continue gluing yarn pieces to cross points until the yarn completely circles around to form the web.
Complete the Spider Web
Continue gluing the yard to the cross points until the yarn completely circles around to form the web.
Play the Game
Blindfold players then spin them around a few times (Images 1 and 2). Add a glue dot to the back of a card stock spider and allow the player to place the spider on the web (Image 3). Award points for each ring of the web with the center being the highest.
