Materials Needed
24" x 36" black frame
24" x 36" orange foam core
solid bottom carvable pumpkin
pumpkin-carving knife
staple gun and staples
(1) can of black spray paint
(1) container of gold acrylic paint
gold glitter
hot glue gun
(3) black pipe cleaners
(1) sheet of gold sticker letters
(1) pack of 12 black card stock gift tags
decorative craft string
(1) roll of washi tape (preferred color)
small craft paint brush
Attach Foam to Frame
Flip the frame over so the backside is facing up and place the orange foam core into the frame. Staple the foam core to the frame to secure it.

Cut the Pumpkin
Using a pumpkin-carving knife, cut the faux pumpkin in half. Set aside one half of the pumpkin and place the other half flat on the table (Image 2). Cut out an opening for the mouth of the black cat. Remove the cut out and make sure the opening is large enough for a child’s hand (Image 3).

Gather your carvable pumpkin and pumpkin carving knife. Place on a sturdy surface and cut the pumpkin in half. Set aside one half of the pumpkin and place the other half flat on the table. Paint + Glitter
Spray paint the carved pumpkin half and let it dry (Image 1). Use the gold acrylic paint to make the eyes (Image 2). While the paint is still wet sprinkle gold glitter over the eyes (Image 3).

Add Details to the Pumpkin
Cut the pipe cleaners to size for the cat's whiskers. Line up the pipe cleaners and hot glue them to the front of the pumpkin, pressing firmly until dry. (Image 1). Cut two 2" x 2" ears out of the foam sheet (Image 2). Trim off any extra before gluing them to the pumpkin. Hot glue the ears to the top of the pumpkin (Image 3).

Step 4: Add Details to the Pumpkin
Gather your pipe cleaners and cut to size for the face of your black cats whiskers.Line up the pipe cleaners and hot glue them to the front of the pumpkin.Press firmly to allow the pipe cleaners to adhere to the glue while it dries.Set the pumpkin aside to continue to dry.Get your foam sheet and cut out two ears about 2x2â.Line up the ears and trim any extra before gluing them to the pumpkin.Hot glue the ears to the top of the pumpkin to form the catâs ears.Make any adjustments quickly after placing the ears before the glue has dried.

Flip the frame back over; use gold sticker letters and card stock tags to make a mini banner (Image 1). Pick a fun washi tape to attach your mini banners to your board and cut off excess string (Image 2).

Attach Finished Pumpkin to Frame
With the banner in place, attach the completed black cat pumpkin to the frame with hot glue (Image 1). Fill with treats and wow your neighbors with the best candy holder on the block (Image 2).

Hold the pumpkin firmly to the board for a few seconds after placing the hot glue to allow it to dry.
