An armoire-style cabinet lined with curtains, arched backsplash and a trio of iron lanterns showcase French-country flavor. Design by Gail Drury

Bright yellow trim and a turquoise oven are bright, colorful accents in this modern white kitchen.

Soft, natural tones and simple lines give this kitchen a classic, clean look. At 11 feet, the ceilings are very high, so a coffered ceiling is used to give stability. Using a rich, darker tone on the island cabinetry helps draw you into the room.

In a small kitchen like this one, white cabinets and countertops help the space feel bigger and brighter than it actually is. Floating shelves provide the perfect spot to display personal decorations.

Kitchen of contemporary house

Available in a variety of colors, subway tile is an easy-to-clean backsplash surface that adds simple and timeless style to a kitchen.

This kitchen features marble countertops and backplash, new appliances and range hood, a kitchen island with a farmer sink, after transformation by the crew of DIY Networks original series Kitchen Crashers.

This cottage-style kitchen welcomes, with lots of natural light and an island and dining table in warm wood tones.

Jane Ellison, designer, featured 10 foot ceilings, limestone counters and a work surface made of African bubinga wood in kitchen renovation. The Venetian plaster range hood, simple cabinets and floating shelves have English cottage look.

A wood-burning fireplace designed for cooking adds Mediterranean charm to this eat-in kitchen. The communal farm table is the centerpiece of the space. A modern light fixture provides a foil for the rough-hewn ceiling beams.

Generous ledges extend beyond the edge of this kitchen's island making a comfortable dining table. The room's dark brown hardwood floors are a grounding contrast to the fresh, white cabinets and walls.

Black and white woven barstools and a colorful striped rug add pops of color and texture to this white contemporary kitchen. White swagged curtains on the windows soften the space.

Glass doors flanking the plate rack over the sink, custom-built hood, recessed niche and carved corbels make for beautiful focal points on the walls. Open shelving, cabinets with plenty of drawer space, diagonal lazy Susan corners and updated appliances add simple elegance.

Kitchen Wall Cabinets

Opening walls at both ends of this kitchen brightened the entire space, which is outfitted with white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and a petite wood island. A warm, wood-paneled ceiling gleams overhead.

This tidy transitional kitchen makes efficient use of its small square footage. Tall white cabinetry takes advantage of the high ceilings, and a large kitchen island maximizes working surfaces.

As seen on HGTV's Kitchen Cousins, the Pino's kitchen with new white kitchen cabinets.

Designer, Shane Inman, created a custom pro style kitchen featuring a custom designed stone island, deck mounted pot filler, custom hood mixed with state of the art appliances and a 25 foot long peninsula that seats eight people.

Meticulously designed to optimize natural lighting, storage and comfortable seating, this kitchen accommodates multiple people working at the same time. The peninsula seats four and showcases ample storage, prep space and a prep sink.

Butcher block works perfectly on the kitchen island where most of the prep work takes place. White subway tile and shaker style cabinets are crisp and classic kitchen standbys.

Full of abundant detail, this cottage style kitchen offers a little of it all. Peek-a-boo cabinets with lighting draw the eye upwards to the captivating tray ceiling. From there, the black pendant lights brings you back down to the dark gray marble countertops that sit atop white detailed cabinets. The blue and white plate detail and homey patterened wallpaper makes this cottage vibe come to life.

A rich red countertop adds a fun jolt of color to this white transitional kitchen. A wood beadboard ceiling, painted white, adds further visual interest and dimension to the room.

Clean & Sophisticated Kitchen

The client wanted a classic kitchen that was also very clean-cut. To do this, designer Peter Salerno used a white painted perimeter with a long walnut island, coupled with marble countertops and white beams on the ceiling to pull it all together. The high contrast in the kitchen helps keep it looking clean.
