Make a Tiny Woodland Garden
Treat your favorite gardener to a little garden they can hold in the palm of their hand.

These miniature gardens are sure to delight your favorite nature lover and make great stocking stuffers for the holiday season.
Gather Your Supplies
For this craft, you will need: small corked vials/ sssorted moss/ raffia/ scissors/ tiny figures/ wooden skewer or chopstick/ pen/ wooden tags
Put Down Roots
Pinch off tiny bits of assorted mosses. With help from the blunt end of the wooden skewer, push the mosses down into the bottom of the vial. Fill the vial approximately half way with the moss.
Add Woodland Elements
The wires on these tiny mushrooms were trimmed to the depth of the moss.
Decorating Fun
Then they were gently guided into the moss to create this woodland scene.
Deer Friends
A couple of small deer were added to this vial. The wooden skewer comes in handy to assist with proper placement.
Assemble the Gift Tag
Cut a six inch piece of raffia. Fold it in half to make a loop in the middle like so.
Add Raffia
Push the loop on the raffia through the hole on the tag.
Bring Up the Ends
Take the ends of the raffia and put them through the loop like so.
Gentle Tug
Gently pull the ends of the raffia until the loop is tight against the tag. With the pen, add the name of a recipient if you like.
Attach the Tag
Tie the tag onto the cork in a knot and trim the raffia's ends.
Top it Off
Gently insert the cork into the top of the vial leaving a bit of space between the figures and the cork.
A View From Above
The woodland garden is now ready for giving.
Set the Scene
Miniature mushrooms, tiny deer, sweet gnomes, little trees, lichen and wee pine cones are all wonderful additions to these tiny woodland gardens.
