Our Place to Chill

Jasmine Roth and her husband, Brett, call Southern California home, but Park City, Utah, holds a special place in their hearts. The couple got married here a decade ago and visit almost every weekend in the winter to snowboard. In 2015 they bought a 650-square-foot condo near the slopes, but they needed a bigger place to host a steady stream of visitors, plus now they have 3-year-old Hazel, an avid snowboarder herself.

The Exterior

Jasmine, who stars in Help! I Wrecked My House and has her own design business, found a four-bedroom new build that she could customize. The house is different from many of Jasmine’s boho beach projects, but she jumped at the chance to try something new. “It was a fun change of pace to lean into a cozy-modern mountain look,” she says. “The only thing I’m still getting used to is shoveling all that snow!”

The Living Room

After spending a day snowboarding, everyone just wants to kick back at home. “I looked for the comfiest sofa possible,” says Jasmine of her down-filled twill sectional. She sells it at jasmine-roth.com, along with the coffee table and green velvet swivel chairs. The brass chandelier is from CB2. "The snow outside is so bright, I needed dark elements like the hearth to help ground the space," she says.

The Kitchen

The house came with Shaker-style cabinets. To get a cleaner look, Jasmine flipped the doors to expose their flat backs. The paint color (Felted Wool by Sherwin-Williams) matches the home’s exterior. “I like how it connects the inside with the outside,” she says. She added a quartzite island as the wow factor. “The pattern looks like the mountain!”
