A modern mountain lodge was chosen for HGTV Dream Home 2011 where the garage exterior features an attractive gable end, eco-friendly poplar bark siding and hemlock timbers that were cut and milled locally. The gable end window conforms to the rest of the residence, giving the impression of a two-story living space.

The interior enjoys substantial light provided by subtle recessed lighting, two six-arm chandeliers and the gable end window. The ceiling's copper paint and walls' gray-stained pine siding complement the hemlock beams to bring the warm autumn palette of the outdoors inside.

HGTV Dream Home 2012 uses carriage-style garage doors to harmonize with the farmhouse vibe of the home's design. The corrugated metal overhang supported by timber trussing completes the rustic look.

The garage interior is focused on organization through a dedicated workspace corner and locker-style cabinetry to keep lawn equipment and sports gear neat and out-of-sight. Two trumpet chandeliers and sizeable recessed windows provide light as well as design in the space.

HGTV Dream Home 2013 features a substantial two-car garage with doors painted and styled like the home's lower level so they effectively disappear. The garage for HGTV Dream Home 2014 is fully integrated with the sprawling modern-rustic residence. The garage exterior features hot-rolled steel trim above its two-tone wooden doors, and the driveway is constructed with highly permeable interlocking pavers for maximum drainage.

The temperature-controlled garage interior opens into a slate-tiled mudroom with convenient access to closets, the laundry room and powder room — a brilliant solution to prevent dirtying up the rest of the house when coming in from the outdoors.

Designer Linda Woodrum chose a carriage-style door for the single-car garage of HGTV Dream Home 2015. Flanked by nautical copper lanterns, the door harmonizes with the other exterior accents to complete the traditional Cape Cod look. The garage also features a cupola with a weathervane — another reminder that the sea is only minutes away.

The climate-controlled interior puts efficiency to work through a dedicated trash and recycling room that's large enough to accommodate bulk storage such as beach and camping gear as well.

HGTV Dream Home 2016 is a gorgeous coastal remodel with beach-inspired designs inside and out. The enormous three-car garage has several large windows with cedar louvered shutters to provide both privacy and protection during inclement weather.

The garage opens into a coastal-chic mudroom with beach-appropriate storage solutions such as woven baskets for suits and towels and hooks for hats and jackets. The ample garage interior is ideal for doubling as a recreation or living area, which makes the mudroom's powder room access perfectly convenient.

White shake siding, black trim and an aluminum roof lend the HGTV Dream Home 2017 remodel serious curbside charisma. Black retro light fixtures flank the black garage door, while weathered-brick driveway pavers lend elegance to the property.

The teal interior offers a cheery welcome to the home. Useful storage solutions include an enclosed 12-pair shoe cabinet near the mudroom entrance and a well-furnished workstation in a dedicated niche. Convenient hooks hold garden equipment and durable cabinets contain tools and gear.

Glass and metal garage doors and two large windows at the back of the garage mean that the waterfront view of HGTV Dream Home 2018 is hardly interrupted by the home. The permeable pavers for the walkway are also used on the driveway for a cohesive, whole-house look that foreshadows the multiuse space inside.

The spacious garage interior allows for an entire back wall of storage, two-station art studio and gardening area with a potting station. With copious light from the garage doors and the scenic view from the back windows, both humans and plants can find nourishment in this multifunctional space.

HGTV Dream Home 2019 is a stunning mountain retreat. The garage features walnut-finished, square-paneled doors topped with gooseneck farmhouse-style fixtures. The lights provide a warm and dramatic illumination over the doors to harmonize beautifully with the chandelier and wooden beams of the main entry.

The two-car, climate-controlled interior includes a floating storage system with sizable worktop for gardening tasks or DIY projects. For convenience, the garage opens both into the home's mudroom and onto the front patio.

HGTV Dream Home 2020 offers a garage perfectly tailored to local customs and environs with its golf cart bay since the primary mode of transport on Hilton Head Island is by golf cart. White carriage-style doors are complemented by burnished steel sconces, which cast a lovely glow on the driveway's classic gray pavers.
