Top 5 From KBIS 2025

This year I attended KBIS, kitchen and bath industry show, in Las Vegas, Nevada and browsed through the latest products that are coming to the market and will be shaping interior design for years to come. Throughout the show, I noticed that most all new products are problem solvers, innovative, beautiful and customizable to the homeowners select set of needs. Here are my top 5 innovative and trend-setting products from KBIS that I predict will shape the interior design space in the coming years.

Integrated Refrigerator in the Bathroom Vanity

GE’s Monogram booth, designed by Richard T. Anuszkiewicz, was truly a spectacular booth that featured luxury appliances that will change the design space for years to come. One that really caught my eye, was the built-in refrigerator drawer conveniently located in the bathroom vanity. This can be used to house skincare products, medication, drinks, etc. Spa-like bathrooms will continue to rise as homeowners look to make their home space a wellness retreat, and integrating a refrigerator into the bathroom furthers its ability to work as a haven and problem solve for the next generation’s quiet luxuries. Caroline Danielson, director of showrooms at Ferguson Home, further explains, “it’s a luxury to have these additional appliances in a space that typically doesn’t have them.”

Colorful Appliances, Sinks and Bathtubs

Throughout the show there was one constant thing I noticed: color, color and more color. Bright and colorful refrigerators, kitchen sinks, bathroom sinks, bathtubs, toilets and more. If there is anything that I can predict about the future of interior design, it is that color will reign and greige is out. As Christine Davis from Kohler explained, “the idea of color is emerging again”. The idea of colorful bathtubs was on full display at the House of Rohl booth, where you can select from over 200 custom colors, in matte and gloss finishes, for your one-of-a-kind bathroom look.

Marble Knobs and Handles

After touring the Emtek booth I was struck by the beauty, versatility and quality of their door hardware, specifically the levers and knobs made with marble. With stone finishes in green, white and red (Rosso) this unique finish elevates the design of this functional and essential home product. Will Zhang, director of design and product innovation at Emtek, explains that his goal is to “create inspiring door hardware that compliments and personalizes a home.”

In-Home Sauna and Cold Tubs

With an ever-growing desire for at-home wellness features, brands have created at-home home saunas and cold tubs to allow homeowners that ability to use these features in their own space. Christine Davis from Kohler said, “everyone wants self-care and therapy and what better way than to do it at home.” Empava showcased an indoor hot/cold plunge tub that has a range of 37.4 degrees Fahrenheit to 113 degrees, allowing for cold or warm water therapy to be done from the privacy and convenience of your own bathroom.

Bathroom Vanities With Integrated Phone Charging and Outlets

I’m all about practical home appliances and advances in technology that will enhance day-to-day routines, so when I saw that James Martin Vanities had worked in collaboration with Cosentino and FreePower to create a vanity that features a wireless charging station, I immediately wanted one for my own home. Not only is there a sleek, built-in FreePower charging doc in the Cosentino countertop, but there is also an outlet within the James Martin Vanities cabinet space. Innovations like these solve multiple problems at once, while homeowners do not have to sacrifice on design and look.
