Never-Before-Seen Photos of HGTV Star Leanne Ford's Surprise NYC Wedding

Shortly after their engagement, Leanne and Erik were staying at the Bowery Hotel in New York City for a work trip when they decided to get married there. "We called our families on Wednesday and asked them to be there by Sunday. Eric found a tux, and I had a vintage dress I'd bought years ago mailed to me. There were 18 of us, and it was perfect, " Leanne told HGTV Magazine.

Thankfully, Leanne's favorite fashion photographers, Sarah Barlow and Stephen Schofield (the duo behind Taylor Swift's 1989 album art), were available to capture every special moment of the big day in their moody, artistic style.

In an Instagram post about the special day, Leanne wrote, "I've been in total heaven since the day I (finally) kissed this man. And on Sunday evening in #NewYorkCity, Erik and I stood in front of our immediate families only and said our vows. To love each other through it, despite of it, because of it. And to protect the light. Two years to decide it, four days to plan it and a lifetime to enjoy it. I guess you'd call this an #elopement?!"

Eighteen of their closest friends and family witnessed the intimate nuptials.

According to Leanne, Erik acted as wedding planner. "I remember I was working a couple days before the wedding and @erikallenford calls me and says, “It’s all planned out baby, we are good to go. Let’s get married!” And he was right. He planned the whole thing and I just showed up. And it was perfect. #Swoon!" she wrote in an Instagram post.

Leanne saved a dance for her brother and Restored by the Fords co-host, Steve Ford.
