10 Essentials Comedian Cecily Strong Can’t Live Without in Her Home as a New Parent
Plus, she partnered with Rejuvenate to create a new three-in-one mop as the ultimate cleaning solution.
With a one-year-old and two pets in her household, former Saturday Night Live star Cecily Strong knows how easy a house can quickly become a disaster zone. From accidental spills to shredded pet toys, it can be hard to get things done with so much on your plate. That’s why we asked Cecily how she tackles juggling parenthood, work and home life and which products she uses to help her along the way. Keep scrolling to find out what essentials make the ups and downs of everyday life easier for her.
The new Rejuvenate PowerMax Multi-Surface Spray Mop is a three-in-one cleaning tool with a sweep, mop and scrub function. “That mop was opened up within five minutes of getting to our apartment,” says Cecily, who partnered with Rejuvenate for this new product. “It's very user-friendly, which is great for someone like me. I am confounded by cleaning up. Always have been.”
With three reusable pads and a floor cleaner to tackle dirt and grime, Cecily’s favorite function is the mop one, which she uses the most. “My fiancé is actually the cleaner in the house, and he was like, ‘Give me that mop, Cecily! We will learn how to use this together,’” she says.

Cecily claims she’s not a natural cleaner, which is why any product that makes cleaning simpler is a product worth having. The Baby Brezza Bottle Washer was “life changing” because all of her daughter’s essentials are able to get pristine in one place. This efficient machine cleans, sanitizes and dries bottles, pump parts, sippy cups and pacifiers without leaving any milk residue behind. It also features a steam function that sterilizes germs with filtered air to keep them that way for up to 72 hours.
According to Cecily, she’s not the best sleeper, so that’s why any product to make her sleep more comfortably and consistently is something worth having. Part of her collection are two Manta Sleep Masks, which feature pillowy eye cups to block out the light and a breathable strap to fit any face shape. “I work hard on trying to be better at sleeping,” Cecily says. “We have a lot here to help.”

Improve your sleep quality with an eye mask that will comfortably block out the light, whether you're in bed, on the road or in the air.
Another product to help with Cecily’s sleep is the Whoop, an activity tracker that monitors all kinds of things from your fitness to your stress levels. With its sleep tracking function, it captures daily behaviors like wake time to record consistency. “It's a magic troll that lives on my wrist and can tell me how bad my sleep was last night,” says Cecily. Between having a toddler or filming a late-night sketch comedy show, she says that a toddler affects her sleep routine more with morning lie-ins out of the mix. “[My Whoop] would love me to be more consistent in my sleep, and it's just like, ‘That's just not going to happen, Whoop,’” Cecily says.
Getting a toddler to sleep is no small feat, which is why Cecily keeps a rolodex of sleep sacks and stuffed animals, including a rabbit toy lovingly called Cuddle Bunny, to help her daughter with her slumber. One product that’s also great for sleeping is the Hatch Baby Sound Machine. It comes in a variety of adorable muted and pastel colors for every nursery aesthetic and has a handful of sleep support functions including guides, science-backed sounds and audio stories to build healthy sleeping habits.

The design-forward Hatch Restore 3 is a splurge and rarely on sale, but it's worth buying if you’re serious about improving your sleep and keeping your bedroom a phone-free zone.
Juggling a career and a baby is something many can relate to, and that’s why having relaxing me-time is absolutely warranted when life gets tiring. “I like having just a nice warm soak in a bathtub,” Cecily says. No bath is right without the perfect candle to pair with it, and Cecily favors Nest’s Grapefruit Scented Candle. Its luxurious packaging makes bathtime feel extra fancy, and its burn time of 50 to 60 hours ensures it’ll last through many meditative baths.

For those with sensitive skin, Cecily understands your pain. She used to use prescription retinoid, but found her skin likes the AlphaRet Overnight Cream much better. This non-prescription product is an anti-aging face cream that can help improve the appearance of wrinkles and refine uneven skin tones. Cecily also uses their EyeMax Overnight Cream, which is meant for the delicate skin in your eye area and can improve the appearance of crepiness, puffiness, darkness and more.
A lip balm is an essential that will always be kept in Cecily’s bag. “I get chapped very easily, and then I get anxious,” she says. “It drives me crazy, so I always have a good lip balm on me.” Her current favorite is OLEHENRIKSEN’s Pout Preserve Lip Treatment — a popular product for good reason. Its thick formula is nourishing and delivers long-lasting hydration while also being non-sticky. Cecily favors their original formula Citrus Sunshine, but there also several tinted options available such as Cocoa Crème or Strawberry Sorbet.
If you want to smell like Cecily, this is the perfume spray that she’s currently into. The scent Mediterranean Honeysuckle is inspired by Estée Lauder heiress Aerin Lauder’s travels to the sun-drenched region. With key notes of grapefruit, honeysuckle and gardenia, you can almost picture the sparkling water and fresh scent of the Mediterranean with one spritz. It’s easy to see why this is one essential Cecily always keeps in her bag.
Cecily wouldn’t consider skincare as “nice and relaxing,” but more as a way to “slow down aging.” What better way to help with that than a good sunscreen? She’s currently trying out Japanese brand Bioré’s UV Aqua Rich Moisturizer, which has SPF 50 sun protection and is lightweight in texture. Its ingredients include hyaluronic acid meant for hydration, while its oil-free formula means you can use it as a primer for your makeup and won’t feel greasy after application.
