An Entertainer’s Kitchen
Designer Marianne Brown thought carefully about the space-planning of her kitchen to create a space for entertaining large groups of people, including plenty of space for prepping food.
Custom Round Island
A small, custom round island provides a handy space for prepping meals, without taking up a large footprint in their U-shaped kitchen. A mantel above the stove offers a place to rotate in artwork for display.
This Wall Stays
The fireplace wall in the dining area could not be moved, so Marianne had to work around the narrow space and U-shape layout of the kitchen.
Balancing Hard and Soft
Designer Marianne Brown sourced simple, timeless materials in her kitchen that will look classic in years to come. Subway tile makes up the backsplash. The brushed brass hardware adds warmth to all the white in the kitchen and balances the sleek quartz countertops.
A Classic Modern U-Shaped Kitchen
Designer Marianne Brown chose finishes that are simply classic — white cabinetry paired with brushed brass hardware, a farmhouse sink, subway tile backsplash, and a gorgeous round island. She opted against any pendant light in the kitchen — the recessed lighting keeps it simple with nothing hanging above.
Before the Remodel
Designer Marianne Brown’s kitchen originally looked like this! She had a blank slate to work with, so she had to envision what the space would look like all put together.
