Materials Needed

  • white air-dry clay
  • clover button
  • gold and green craft paint
  • paintbrush
  • O ring
  • gold necklace chain
  • small circle cookie cutter
  • rolling pin
  • pliers
  • skewer

Prep Clay

Take a small chunk of the air-dry clay and roll it out using the rolling pin (Image 1). Press the small circle cookie cutter into the clay to create the base (Image 2).

Create Pendant

Press the clover button into the circle of clay, then peel away to reveal the shape (Images 1 & 2). Use a skewer to poke a small hole at the top of the circle of clay (Images 3 & 4). Allow the clay to dry for 24 hours.

Paint

Paint everything outside of the clover imprint in gold, and the inside green (Images 1 & 2). Allow the paint to dry fully.

Assemble Necklace

Use a pair of pliers to open the O ring, then thread the ring through the hole in the clay. Use the pliers to close the ring (Image 1). Thread the chain through the O ring (Image 2). Now you're ready to show off your new creation!
