Behind the Scenes

HGTV’s Flipping 101 host, Tarek El Moussa, and Netflix's Selling Sunset luxury real estate agent Heather Rae Young are officially hitched! The pair tied the knot on Saturday, October 23, and on Thursday, December 16, HGTV viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at everything that went into the couple's big day.

"It took Tarek and I months to decide whether or not we were going to film our wedding and all of the planning, events, etc. leading up to it and to be honest with you, we were leaning on the side of not filming it," Heather revealed in the caption of an Instagram post.

Thankfully, although they both believe in the intimacy of their wedding, they wanted their fans to be a part of it. "We decided to film everything—including all the intimate moments leading up to the wedding and it's something really special that we get to share with you," Heather continued in her caption.

Of course, if watching the televised special isn't enough to tide you over, we thought it might be helpful to provide you with a gallery of some of the key moments from "Tarek & Heather: The Big I Do". So, without further ado, click through for a series of swoon-worthy snaps from the celebrity couple's wedding process.

Final Fitting

After trying on a handful of dresses, Heather eventually landed on her perfect silhouette: a custom-made Galia Lahav gown, featuring a corset-inspired mini dress bodice, sheer embroidered sleeves and a sheer skirt overlay, complete with a sprawling train.

"It's so delicate, beautiful and sexy, but classy and timeless. It goes with the Old Hollywood feel of the wedding," Heather said in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE. "It's hard to describe, but it's the prettiest dress I've ever seen in my life."

Groom's Party Fittings

The most precious part about the tux fittings was when Tarek's son Brayden had to get measured for the big day.

The Grand Entryway

Pumps Fit for a Princess

Heather's Old Hollywood glam went from head to toe, with a pair of clear Amina Muaddi pumps completing her wedding-day ensemble. Topped with sparkling butterfly-inspired bows on the toes, they're practically modern-day Cinderella slippers.

The Tuxes

For the big day, Tarek wowed in a satin-accented black velvet tux by David August. While invisible from the outside, the inside featured an edgy skulls-and-crossbones lining. But he wasn't the only one with a hidden touch of fun. Tarek revealed to PEOPLE that Brayden's tux lining featured a mini shark print.

The Ceremony

Tarek and Heather tied the not outside of a seaside hotel in Montecito, California. The ceremony featured rows and rows of clear acrylic chairs with a 100-foot glossy black aisle stretching between them up toward the altar.

The Newlywed Mobile

The Details

Heather and Tarek stuck to a classic black and white color palette for two reasons: an Old Hollywood-inspired palette and so that they wouldn't, as they told PEOPLE, look back in 10 years and think it look dated.

The Menu

As a long-time animal rights advocate and vegan, Heather was excited to show off the hotel's delicious vegan offerings, including a plant-based bolognese that was perfect for the fall timing of their wedding.
