Master Makeover
Rev. Run and Justine Simmons stand in their newly renovated master bedroom. Bringing very different visions to the project, Rev Run and Justine both pitched in ideas to create their ideal master suite.
Wide Open Spaces
BEFORE: The master bedroom was sparsely furnished and drab, with aging carpet and dated furniture. Justine's vision was to reconfigure the space, incorporating both sitting and sleeping area.
Modern Jewel
AFTER: The master bedroom is updated with dark hardwood floors, earth tones and a comfortable seating area.
Blank Slate
BEFORE: This spacious but underutilized portion of the master is about to get a new treatment, creating a radically different seating area.
Relaxation Station
AFTER: The new tiled wall with integrated modern fireplace becomes the focal point of the newly renovated space. A generously proportioned sofa and neutral tones help to create a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere.
Fireside
With the master bedroom renovation complete, Rev. Run and Justine plan to use this area to relax by the fire and watch movies.
Mayhem in Miley's Room
BEFORE: Daughter Miley's bedroom was covered top to bottom with toys, books and princess costumes. Justine's idea was to banish the clutter and create a fairytale dreamland for her daughter.
Pink Princess Palace
AFTER: Miley's fairytale dreams come true with a lifelike tree right inside the room and a custom-designed loft bed.
Unique Storage Space
AFTER: The tree, with built-in bench seat, opens up to reveal storage for toys inside.
Fit For A Fairytale
AFTER: Josh from HGTV's Posh Tots custom designed the castle-themed bed and play area based on a drawing by Miley.
Princess Miley
AFTER: The play area beneath the loft comes complete with pink TV, games, shelves for storage and a princess-worthy lounge area. The hand-painted ceiling adds a special touch.
Big Changes in Store
BEFORE: Rev. Run and Justine gave their son Russy the freedom to plan the redesign for his own bedroom. Russy wanted big changes for this space to create a more grown-up bedroom. His plans included a walk-in closet and private bath.
A Welcoming Retreat
AFTER: Russy's much improved bedroom incorporates earth tones, a mural-sized wall hanging, new carpet and subdued lighting — all helping to give the space a new sense of tranquility.
Russy's Vision
BEFORE: The carpet in Russy's bedroom was old and worn, and the furnishings dated.
Bedroom Makeover Complete
AFTER: The made over space includes an updated bath, darker palette and more eye-pleasing accents.
Diggy's Renovation
BEFORE: Diggy's room was in desperate need of a makeover and, in fact, he was contemplating moving out. Justine had plans to transform this space in a way that might entice him to stay.
A Sweet Suite
AFTER: Diggy's new suite is fashioned as a spacious and private bachelor pad. The room is updated with dark hardwood floors, high-gloss ceiling, a walk-in closet and private bath.
Little Space, Big Problem
BEFORE: With closet space running low, Diggy was forced to resort to this less-than-ideal system of storage. Justine's plan is to turn this portion of the room into a relaxing lounge area.
Diggy's Sitting Area
