15 Small Businesses to Shop on Amazon — And Your Purchase Could Earn You Credit for Prime Day
Shop these makers and artisans through Oct. 12, and Prime members can earn free credit to spend during Amazon Prime Day, Oct. 13 and Oct. 14.

Prime Day is coming! If you’re unfamiliar with Amazon’s marquee event, it’s just as big as Cyber Monday or Black Friday. The shopping holiday doesn’t launch until Oct. 13, but Amazon is already sweetening the deals for Prime members with pre-sale promotions. I earned a $10 credit to spend during Prime Day just for spending $10 on a Whole Foods delivery this week. Prime members can also earn $10 to spend on Prime Day by spending $10 or more on small businesses now through Oct. 12. The deal is exclusive to Prime members, but if you’re not a member yet, you can sign up for a free trial to take advantage of the promotion. You just have to sign up before making the small business purchase.
There are so many small businesses and artisan crafters to shop and support on Amazon. There’s even an Etsy-like market within Amazon called Amazon Handmade and it showcases makers across the country. So if you’re looking to shop small and earn that Prime Day reward, Amazon Handmade should be the first place you browse. We’ve rounded up our favorite buys from our favorite small businesses below. Take a look at these unique wares for fall, and treat yourself to credit for Prime Day.
Get Cozy
The nights are getting cooler which means cozy season is upon us. If you’re ready for snuggling on the couch and watching TV, there are super-soft, handmade items on Amazon Handmade perfect for fall such as this hand-knitted merino wool blanket from WoolDeco or these velour socks from Tatiana’s Threads. Candlemaker Sweet Water Decor has several scents for the season such as the Hello Fall candle with notes of hot cider and nutmeg. It’s a great gift for the fall-obsessed as well as this mug from Pretty Phoxie.
Get Organized
Fall is all about getting back into a rhythm and routine. If you need help organizing your home, there are tons of nifty, handmade products to shop. These meal planning worksheets from Two Tumbleweeds feature a tear-off list for the grocery store. And this pretty, customizable recipe book from Enjoy the Wood is perfect for keeping all of your favorite recipes in one place. There are even smart organizers to help keep clutter at bay such as this K-cups drawer from TD Designs or this little pincushion station from The Mud Place.
Get Festive
Instead of the same cheap dollar store decorations, outfit your home for Halloween — or just fall in general — with quality handmade items that will last. We are head over heels in love with these velvet pumpkins from Your Heart’s Content. The sets of three come in various sizes and tons of different colors, from traditional orange to this celestial blue. The shop also has a collection of candy corn bottle brush trees that would make the cutest Halloween mantel. And if you’re shopping for decor that works for both Halloween and Thanksgiving, this wreath from WildRidge Designs is the only one you need for the season. These gorgeous ceramic oak leaf coasters from Dock 6 Pottery are another fall buy that you can use for multiple holidays and purposes. One would make a chic ring dish, too.
Get Inspired
If you love to craft, there are some really cool handmade trinkets and baubles to use as crafting supplies, from hand-painted washi tape and stickers to these macrame feathers from Land of Macrame. You’d have to buy at least two feathers to qualify for the promotion but just think about the garland you could make with these chic ornaments. And speaking of ornaments, these hanging pressed herbariums from NCYP Garden would look really cool transformed into napkin holders with a bit of velvet ribbon. If you love to DIY your own fall wreath, these felt flowers from Berry Island or these tasseled wooden beads from Ash & Hart Floral have that boho Anthropologie look.
