Striking Country Style Blue Kitchen With Reclaimed Wood Floors

The old kitchen was expanded and redesigned to feature Shaker-inspired cabinets, beadboard walls and a worktable. The white, vintage AGA range was purchased online and driven back to Pound Ridge from Montana. The counters are Arabescato marble and the space opens up into the dining room.

The living room is centered around a vintage sofa, reupholstered in Etlis linen. The original pine floors have been preserved and pinch-pleat drapes hang from iron rods as window treatments. A Roswell Flying Saucer Prism pendant lamp and fireplace bring light and warmth to the space accented by a vintage armchair reupholstered in red Sandra Jordan wool and a layered zebra rug.

The primary bedroom has a custom Leonards New England spool bed. The dresser is a 19th century mahogany chest of drawers with antique marble and walnut topped tables acting as nightstands. Custom 19th century French printed cotton toile lamps provide subtle bedside lighting.

The pine floors in the primary bathroom were salvaged from the original home’s kitchen. The Cheviot cast iron tub acts as the focal point of the space, outfitted with Lefroy Brooks plumbing fixtures and Samuel Heath bath accessories.
