Inspired by the international bazaars of the homeowner's travels, the fireplace is adorned with a white African headdress, sourced at a local flea market, and matching baskets and vases. A walnut built-in media cabinet below the TV adds function, gravitas and warmth to the color scheme, while a coffee table grounds the setting.

Against the back wall, layers of textures, from the wallpaper to the sideboard face and pillows, create an organic space with depth. With blue and purple tones, the abstract painting easily complements the lavendar side chairs.
